HELP!!!! What color bridesmaids dress with jeans and brown vest for groomsmen?

I am having a casual outdoor wedding in October.  My decorations are hay bails, mums and pumpkins.  The groom and groomsmen are wearing jeans with brown vests and boots.  I had originally chosen a color close to navy but not as dark for my bridesmaids but I am having seconds thoughts.  Any suggestions or did I have it right the first time?

Any color would work fine. Brown is a neutral, so it goes with anything.

I think the men should, at the very least, be wearing khakis...

Any fall color: brown, gold, oranges (that'd be my preference) or even purple.

we were going to do blue jeans when we were planning a backyard wedding (country, outdoor setting...girls in cowgirl boots, etc)

I think it is appropriate for this or something similar.

That being said, when we changed what we were doing, including our date because of budget restraints, we tossed out the blue jean idea because my colors are orange/melon/pink/peach etc... blue jeans did not go lol

I say any warm color...yellow, brown, champange, blue...

probbaly not purple or greens, def not reds unless you want an americana theme lol

The blue sounds nice, but if you have second thoughts, there is probably a reason.

Brown is a neutral, and really I think blue jeans function as a neutral in most cases, so you have a lot of freedom here.

I'd take guidance from the natural colors around. Depending on your BMs skintones, I think a yellow or a deep red like you find in mums would be pretty.

I think it is a wonderful idea!  Even if you are wearing a long white dress, you could wear boots yourself and pull it together.  I am a designer who does a lot of weddings from very formal to informal.  Brides are becoming very creative when it comes to weddings today!  The key is as long as you can bring elements of your design in all aspects of the wedding, you can pull it off.  The girls could have blue dresses royal, light blue...whatever you choose and also have boots along with you having the boots and it would look great!  I love the combination of the blue jeans and the brown vest.  Make sure the vest have some sort of texture or design...not just a solid brown vest.  Unless the vest could be lighter brown corduroy or even a tiny plaid suit vest.  You could even pull in the crisp white shirts underneath and of course boots as well...it would look awesome!  In your flowers you could add more color such as your bouquets. You could have a touch of blue delphinium or blue thistle would be good.  If you like your fall colors, add a little yellow maybe daisies or mums, or yellow callas and roses. Gerber daisies come in several colors and textures.  Textures are what you need to make it creative and more natural looking.  Add your extra touches of color in your flowers, orange, creams, blues, rust with green such as vines, ferns etc!  Sorta have that "cut out of the garden look"!  You are on the right track though with your choices.  You are right...your original idea, blue jeans, brown vest and boots...great idea!!!!

If blue jeans are fancy enough for the groomsmen, I vote they're fancy enough for the bridesmaids!

If jeans are the way you want to go then go for it. Its nobodies wedding but yours. I recently attended a wedding were the men were wearing nice blue jeans and button up shirts. The bride has a nice long blue dress. It all pulled together. She had a outdoor wedding in her back yard. Her bridesmaids ware a creamish brown color.

I would be pissed if I had to shell out money on a BM dress and the guys wore jeans.  If you want to have such a casual wedding, tell your BMs to wear any dress that they already own, in a particular color.  Like, say "any dress in any shade of blue".

i am having a wedding next june and the guys will be in jeans and brown vests as well!! where did you get the brown vests??

colors maybe, yellows? since it will be in fall

PS i will have my groomsmen in jeans but the girls will be wearing really cute skirts, under 60 dollars and they can wear them again and again, not having them spend a lot of money on something they cant wear again. and my wedding dress  under 50 dollars

Where did you find the brown vests for the guys to wear? I have been looking everywhere and no one carries brown and if they do they are the short brown vests that don't look good with jeans.
