So I won't bore you to death with the long drawn out story- BUT here's the "reader's digest" version: (and yeah, I know it's long, sorry!)
6 years ago, my HB purchased my engagement ring for Gordon's Jeweler's (the national chain), a few years later I lost a diamond in my ring. I had the diamond bond, so I brought it into the store and had it sent off for repairs. When the ring was returned to me, it was in WORSE shape than before.
For over 2 years, I gave Gordon's the opportunity to fix the ring and they were never able to get it right! And I've been through the ringer with these people from having my ring "lost" and thrown away!!! to having a customer service respresentative cuss me out and spit in my face infront of the store.
2 weeks before my wedding, the manager tells me that we will not be able to get the ring fixed (which I new) and they were willing to offer me a replacement ring or a refund, but could NOT get the original ring in anymore. There was a flaw in the design, no duh.
So with not much time to spare, I was forced to pick a ring out of their case and give my original ring back! I picked a ring that I could stand, but didn't love, strictly on the advice of the manager that they had sold A LOT of those rings, but had NEVER had a problem!
I lost a diamond in that ring 2 weeks ago. Brought it to Gordon's and they tell me that they'll send if off for an "easy" repair. I was called and told that the ring was ready for pick up. I arrive and see that yes, the diamond that was missing had been replaced- BUT it's missing 2 diamonds from ANOTHER spot!
Their repair and products are shotty, not worth the money. Im taking them to court. Heed my warning- STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
