I said YES to The Dress today!! (PIP)

This is the dress FI hand picked off the rack himself last weekend...

$633 off the rack :-)

I'm going to modify the neckline to be a sweetheart, and I'm going to chop of the train as well. I'll also need to have that weird line/crease that appears at my hips fixed somehow (something to do with boning? "We'll have to reduce the boning" the lady said. I giggled).

That veil... they want $189 for that square of fabric! I couldn't believe that! Will continue shopping...

I'll be purchasing these boots to wear under the dress:

Your dress is gorgeous! I know the feeling about how much veils cost...in addition to ebay and etsy, check the classifieds board here, too. People are getting rid of veils there all the time - I got mine from there, brand new for $100 off what David's wanted for the exact same one.

I was gonna get cowboy boots but mine is in June and feet would be smelly yuck! Cool though. I got my dress today and it fits like a glove :)

Congrats on your dress too!!

Our wedding will be in October (2013, hopefully) so it'll be a little cooler... but for the dance floor I am figuring that the boots will come off in favor of flip flops at that point. :-)

Also, on the veil, I've heard people here recommending valueveil.com. I can't vouch for it personally because my Mom is making mine, but I've only ever heard good things about the site. ($25 for a veil, that sort of thing. Score!)
