BM dress emergency!

Hi ladies! I've never posted her but need some advice!

I'm ordering my girls dresses from ariadress.com. Up until last week, they only had two fabric options, silk shantung and duchess satin. Since the satin was less expensive, I went with that. But then, they added dupioni. I want to order the dresses this week for our October wedding.

So here's my question: what's better, dupioni or duchess satin? Our wedding is in WI in the fall, my dress is silk satin. It's a relatively traditional wedding in a Catholic Church. I'm just very torn. My BMs all say that it's up to me to decide.

Re: BM dress emergency!

  • Duponi definitely has more structure, so I would recommend that if you have bridesmaids of all shapes and sizes (or they just have lumps and bumps they want to hide) go with the duponi. The satin tends to be more revealing in the lumps and bumps area. Haha :)

Plus I just love the way duponi shines--note: satin is shiny...but duponi just has a muted shiny-ness that i love.
