Ok I am going to try and answer all the questions-

Sort function- This is not something I can go into the system and just change. We have to have a tech team build the function within our server that is not internal. We know there are issues with the boards, and we are in the process of altering them. I know it has been going on for a long time, but these are not issues we are fix overnight. Believe me, if I was able to go in myself and fix any of them I would.

Swearing- Swearing is not specifically stated in our Rules, but it is in our TOS. It is something everyone agreed to when signing up for TK. I have gotten a ridiculous amounts of complaints from new and old users in the past few days since posting email addresses to contact me. I know most regular SB members do not mind, but many many other members do.

Everyone should be about to talk about changing their sheets, and taking shots as much as they want now. The system banned anything that started with sh and ended with t. That has now been altered.

Jumping ship- We do care about you all jumping ship, but there are certain things I cannot change. Just as much as you all want to be able to swear new users also find it offensive and they are jumping ship before they have even joined due to the swearing and general feel of the boards. I have to find a balance between you all to keep as many people happy as possible. This means enforcing things we stated clearly upfront, and still listening to everyone's complaints.

   Sorry that I just saw this, not sure where else you posted it. There was a glitch in the system that added sheets and shots. They should be able to go up now no problem. Really anything that started with a SH and ended with a T was not showing up.

DJ- That posts went beyond just violating for profanity, and fell under our category of

I know you guys were mad, but it really did cross the line.

Lilli- since SB is more of a specilaty board and not somewhere people go to talk about flowers and invites, can you maybe change the header to our board a little to kind of let people know that we are a bit more crass here? 

Its just that we have never had this type of problem before, not to this extent, and we have always been sailors over here.

People take offense to everything on here and the internet in general whether it be not validating their ridiculous ideas, (apparently) swearing, etc.  I'm curious if it will truly stop at swearing.  Lilli, you don't want us to turn into Wedding Bee do you?  Half of the people that are daily posters will be long gone in a flash if that's what this is going to turn into.

Also, ditto Blue.  She says things way more eloquently than I.

So are all posts with swear words getting deleted now? Didn't it used to be if a certain amount of people reported it would be deleted? Because my post is gone and so is Erins, and I cuss the same amount as I used to and I have never noticed my posts disappearing.

It is not just that people take offense, but it is also in our TOS. That is something that has been the same for a long time, and I am just here to enforce it.

I don't want you all to be Wedding Bee, but it is really hard for new users to come into the boards at this point, and it would be nice if more people felt welcome to participate in discussion.

SB is technically Snarky (sorry) Brides. Technically this is a board to talk about weddings, you all have just given it a life of it's own... Which is great that it has a personality, but doesn't mean it is void from all rules.

I just mean, not to float our own boats, but this board has a lot of "favorite knotties" of the whole community.  People really like us and how we are.  Maybe a changing of the header with a bit more of a warning to users on this board, and us not going overboard with the cussing could be a good compromise?

Because sometimes a good ole fashioned WTF is exactly the right response to some things.

Plus, I dont get why people would be offended if I tell Eagles to shut her stupid face if Eagles is not offended.

I am not deleting posts, but I know people have been reporting them which I can see in my admin page. If a post gets reported by 3 different people and marked as violating TOS it gets deleted. This number has gone up since Thursday and people have been actively reporting posts.

I will consider changing the headline to give a better description. I know it is not technically, but usually the word is still in there... Let me converse with the TK gods and see about the headline. The board does have a reputation so most people are aware, but still does not mean you all are above the TK law.

Although I do spend a lot more time talking to all the regulars... so that must mean something.
