Mother Nature can suck the high hard one.  This is the coldest summer on record since 1992.   I had planned on spending my mat leave summer at the cottage, days on the beach and sipping wine after sunset (no comment neccessary, Fallin)Instead, I've been to the cottage ONCE, and the long range forcast is all about rain and crap temperatures.Sucktastic

I've been dealing with our old apartment complex for almost a week now because they are a$$holes. We moved out before the end of our lease because we got a deal with a new place that we couldn't turn down. We were unable to sublease the old place, but we got a bill in the mail last week from them for a subletting fee. There was no mention of the rent we had paid through the end of our lease (July). These people moved in the last week of June and no one mentioned it to us until mid July...I finally got it worked out yesterday. Or so I thought. The electric company finally got back to me this morning and we are going to be billed $126 for the month the other people have been living there. So, now I get to go round 6543168 with this stupid, sleazy company. sorry for the novel

I got her an hour early this morning for a meeting, and the organizer was 15 minutes late.  I would say set it up for 7 if you can't make it at 6, but she would be 15 minutes late then, too.My mom and grandma are coming to visit this week, and my mom called me to ask me if my other grandma could come.  Of course I said yes (this is the wife of my granppa who died in Januray, and she's having a rough time) but I'm a little miffed about it.  she's very cold and critical, and I just don't want to have to deal with her on my birthday.  So I feel like a shiitty granddaughter now.

I have a "virus" which my doctor could?would? not elaborate on. It feels like the flu, so I've been home all week. We're supposed to go oot this weekend, and I"ll be pissed if I miss it.

I had a dentist appt this morning, and he mentioned invisalign - AGAIN.  He mentions it every cleaning.  And I keep explaining to him that I'm not about to spend thousands of dollars to fix my one little snaggletooth.  I also told him this time that if I do anything cosmetic, it'll be a tummy tuck/lipo after the babymaking portion of my life is done.

My MIL is here. My husband is working. I keep breaking out but they are those under the surface pimples that dont ever come to a head but just throb. They are near my mouth and make chewing hurt, which therefore interferes with my eating. I hate them.

i'm in a sand volleyball league once a week over the summer, and EVERY WEDNESDAY without fail, i wake up to all-day rain/storms.  volleyball is a lot more fun in the hot sun. also, D just left this morning until next monday.  booooooo.  i get bored around here without him.  he's going on a mini-tour with the band (anyone here in st louis, kansas city, or denver?!)   they'll have fun, and i know he's suuuuper excited about getting to be a touring musician for a week, so that's cool.  but our place is so quiet when he's gone.  i'll just have to revel in the shiitty TV i can watch totally undisturbed.  hmph.also, why have i gained 5 pounds?  when did this happen?  i work out every fuucking day so you can just fuuck right off, stupid loves.

She didn't seem too concerned and they didn't test for anything, which kinda pissed me off. I guess the swine flu test is just a nose swab, so I'm not sure why they didn't just do it on the off chance that I do have it. But it's not like they can treat it anyway, so meh. I'm just drinking a ton of water and sleeping. And watching crappy TV. Center Stage is on my DVR for later, sweeeeeeet.

yeah, it is just a quick swab. My H had it done. it takes just a few minutes. I bet insurance companies are sick of paying for the test. center Stage is awesome. it does bother me that her shoes go from pink to red in the final show though.

Mama - What band is your husband (boyfriend?) in?  Before my mommy days, I frequently attended shows around town (I'm in Denver).  I have several friends that are in bands.  Now I get their announcements on Facebook and laugh at the notion of going out on a Tuesday night (not that it matters what day it is.  I wake up at the same time every morning regardless of evening activities).

god, i love a few days to myself, mamakin. I could understand if he was gone for a month or something, but you don't like ust a few days alone? oh yeah, in a normal world.   however, since being unemployed, i get PLENTY of alone time during the day.  i really look forward to evenings and weekends because the rest of the world is finally available to play.  i'm not devastated or anything,  it'll just make the next few days seem that much loooonger.

I wake up at the same time every morning regardless of evening activities). haha, i hear ya. especially when shows start at like 9 or 10.  his band is called Red Light Driver, and they're headed out to play the underground music showcase in Denver with a couple stops along the way.

Mannakin, I thought you got a new job?oh, i never mentioned what happened?   sooo unfortunate.   after i was there 3 weeks, LOVED my job, they loved me...  one of the doctors at the site told my boss that he was moving his practice to florida.  his office was over 50% of the trials we run.  half the work is gone, people had to be let go... i was the last in, so i was among the first out.  so yeah, i had my dream job for about a month.  now i'm back to networking and interviewing  and stressing and a LOT of down time.  suck.

My vent is that I am already thinking bad thoughts about having to see my ILs for Andy's b-day in a month.  My MIL lives in CA and she thinks it is necessary to stay at our house (2 bedroom condo) for a week. I could write a novel on why this woman irritates the s*it out of me, but I'll save that for a time when I have new material on her.  The thing is, I should have more patience with her.  She is Andy's only grandparent (my H's dad and both of my parents passed away several years ago - too early in the morning to throw a tragedy card?).  But I find myself getting angry BECAUSE she is the only grandparent.  I'm a bit*hy DIL.
