Re: Mouse and baby Voldy

  • What an oddly split post. The Mouse family looks absolutely darling. Tasty - I can't believe he approached you with that. Honestly, I don't think I would say anything to either of them. It just seems so intrusive and out of the blue. But if you think you can find a way to do so delicately, more power to you.

  • I'm laughing at Winger and Bloomie for not reading the whole thread before posting.Tastykins, that is a terrible position to be in.  And extremely terrible for your friend if it's true.  Can you maybe get back to the husband and tell him that this is not really normal and you think they should absolutely go to couples therapy?  IF (longshot, but...) this happens, could you get the name of the therapist from the H and then call said therapist and say, "Look I know you can't share anything with me, but you're about to see a patient named CAR'S MOM and there is this creepy uncle backstory that may or may not be worth exploring."This may be way too out there of a plan, but I feel like the system of individual therapy is a little flawed anyway.  I know that your friend is not mentally ill or anything, but I have seen the struggle that families go through when they do have a family member with psychological or mental issues and that ill person plays the therapist like a piano and they can't go and have input and explain to the therapist "Look s/he's been playing this game for the last 20 years, don't you fall for it too!  Here are additional facts this person will never tell you but are vital to understanding his/her problems."
