• I have to second the zombies!

Does anyone else's fiance have a "when the zombies attack" plan? lol. It's extremely detailed.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Weird stuff that fascinates you : last night when I got home from work I was standing by the pantry getting stuff for dinner, and Whisky literally batted his dish against my foot wanting more food. When I looked down he let out this long, drawn-out double meow thing and all I heard was "Servant girl, give me more food. Now. Or I will break this dish on your foot."

Sir Whisky is not used to waiting.

Bax is the same. When he's excited, he lets out a drawn-out growl/yowl/bark combo that's hysterical. I wonder what it means. "Yay, my parents are home!" or "Yay, I can go out and pee all over stuff now1!" or maybe "Woo, hope that hot white dog from next door is still outside."

<-------yup

When we went to register for the wedding, FI asked me if we could register for a riding lawn mower. When I asked him why, he said "You know, for general transportation...and to kill zombies. The revolution is nigh."

God, I love him.

• I swear Cheddar talks too. He can say 'Mom' and 'Out' and 'Let me Out'. If I don't let him out the first time I go upstairs in the morning he will run in front of me and stand on the stairs to block me from going back down. And he does that same long, obnoxious meow like he's scolding me.

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one fascinated by true crime drama, crime scenes, and peeling sunburned skin (eew). I'm fascinated by abandoned places too.

Lol! That is fantastic. Mine has a small arsenal of a gun collection which he keeps telling me I will be glad to have when the zombies attack. Not to mention if I turn into one, he would keep me on a leash because he loves me and couldn't kill me. Thanks babe, love you too. lol. I definitely need to get him The Zombie Survival Guide as a joke.

That is a very good idea. But who needs more friends? You just go straight to the nearest marina and steal someone's boat. Just like they did at the end of Dawn of the Dead. It's a zombie apocalypse. So you won't be going to jail for theft.

• OK ladies I'm kinda of creeped out right now! I just got home, work got to busy to be on the last hour or so, but I just looked at Secret Grooms bio, and it matches me.
I'm in NE Ohio, got married in SC on May 22, 2010. Do you think this might be my DH? If it is, he's dead!

• All this zombie stuff is hillarious!
Nicki--we had a masturbation-crazy woman in antepartum. It was pretty nasty from what I'm told--I never encountered her myself. My L&D friend had lady in labor who would masturbate while her husband rubbed her nipples to "help stimulate contractions." eeesh.
OB is crazy because hormones are running wild--I could tell stories for hours about my days in perinatal!

Wow, they were helping stimulate contractions all right! lol. It really amazes me the people that are in this world.

• So I'm totally late on this one because I went to the gym BUT fun fact about serial killers: One of my sorority sisters mom almost went on a date with Ted Bundy. They met at a bar when she was in college and he asked for her number so he called and they set up a date. He picked her up from her dorm and as they were pulling onto the highway she jokingly said, "You better not be a murderer because I gave my roommate your name and number. ha ha ha." He didn't say anything, just turned around and dropped her back off at her dorm.

That's so weird KD. I believe the person did mention possibly being "one of our" grooms?

ETA:
[QUOTE]Nah... I asked a pretty straight-forward question, and one that shouldn't change based on my identity. Who knows... perhaps I'm your lucky groom. However, since my question didn't get answered, there's no reason to answer yours in kind. As you say, it's a two-way street. Apparently poop jokes are only funny when you say them!

• Haha, KD!!

And the ONE, single episode of Buffy that freaks me out is on. The voiceless one with the floating people.

I have always been fascinated by the criminal mind - it started with sneaking peeks at Helter Skelter as an 8 year old (my aunt was reading it). How did someone talk so many others into doing those horrific things? I read the book later on, and some others, plus found original magazine coverage.
Another one who fascinates me is Ronald DeFeo. He's the real Amityville "horror."
Jeffrey MacDonald, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Dahmer, Ed Gein - you name it.
For a long time, I wanted to be a profiler, or a forensic scientist or medical examiner. I'm also fascinated by crime scenes. I'm not skeeved out by that, for some reason.

And, as far as pets talking - Max makes Wookie noises when he's talking to us. It is an absolute riot. He seriously sounds like Chewbacca. Wookie would've been his name if we'd known this before.

• I'm late to the party... but I also love true crime stuff so I'm always on TruTv or AE. Right now we don't have cable so we've been watching dvd's. Thank goodness we have the first 4 seasons of Dexter on dvd. Love him. Each time we watch an episode it gets better.
• Fun fact: one of H's customers is Lee Butcher, a True Crime author. I helped him finish his last book, which isn't out yet because he's really sick. Lee was also one of the first romance authors and wrote under a woman's name, but by contract he isn't allowed to tell me.
• Sesh, I'm keeping an eye out for some of his books.

• Missy his books are very, very detailed. He gets access to police records and whatnot and knows so much about each case. The one I helped with was on the Blood Mountain Killer. I got to see the transcript from the interrogation and it was fascinating. the guy was freaking insane.

Unfortunately I don't know that it will come out, at least not any time soon. Lee is getting older and has a lot of heart problems, so the release keeps getting pushed back. But I would love to know his penname as a Harlequin romance writer. He said that many of the best sellers when the genre first started were actually men using a different name.
• In no particular order: The Amish, serial killers (the psychology of it).

Our ragdoll cat "talks" - he says "mom" and "nooooooo......"
• Trailing on the convo about serial killers and the Mutter Museum... my fascination is assassination. (Love the Rhyme)

Not that I'm interested in assassinating anyone, but I never tire of learning more about the crimes, particularly presidential ones.

I would recommend the book Assassination Vacation by Sarah Vowell to all you murder peeps. The author literally made me laugh out loud at her sarcasm. She also visited the Mutter Museum, where they have a piece of John Wilkes Booth's thorax, and chunks of the brain of President Garfield's assassin.

Disgustingly intriguing.
• I am new here... but I had to comment on this thread... I love, love, love DEXTER! I also research serial killers (Wikipedia is my favorite site) and I am fascinated by the Mafia and the women who become involved with Mafia men. Thought it was just me...
• oh...and @rhodesign - I love the caption under your pic - matches the picture perfectly lol
