Oh man I haven't seen that movie in so long.
  • How about we talk about doing something for three hours and then do nothing at all! :P

I think the boards are fine the way they are. I think if we were to combine, there would be more pressure or something to be nice to one another more often.

  • Can I ask a non-related question?  So I made orange Thai flank steak for dinner.  It was delicious, and the sauce had such great flavor.  But the problem?  Even with unseasoned rice vinegar, low sodium soy sauce, and no added salt, when the sauce reduced, it got way too salty.  I really can't reduce the salt anymore...is there a way to make it less salty next time?  Because I loved the flavor, hated the saltiness.

But. I do look at post count, and if it's going up a lot, I'll click on it. But these days, I MAYBE only open 4 posts a day, and usually only by people that I know I want to hear from.

<div>I have no idea because mine always does the same thing. The only thing I have considered is adding water to the soy sauce so that there is still a lot of liquid but less, well, soyishness.</div>
  • You can add a few potatoes to the recipe to let them soak up the salt and then throw them away.

    Add vinegar to the recipe.

  • That's a good question. I don't really know. This is really all about what IIIIIII want. ;)

But I figure, if there is a neutral board, it takes the whole effing boardwar shiit out of it, and would let people just have at 'er. If they want to come, they can come. If they don't, they dont.

But if I'm the only one who wants to hang with you hossbags, then I guess I'm a lone wolf in a pack of wolves, and I'll just have to figure out how to keep up with everyone EVERYWHERE.

The only thing I can think of is to use less soy sauce. Even reduced-sodium soy sauce is pretty high sodium--unless you were actually using LOW-sodium. And I've never even seen that in stores.

Isn't the flavor amazing though?  Love.  I thought about just reducing the amount of soy sauce, but I worried it would change the flavor of the sauce too much.

    There is vinegar already.

I thought about adding some potatoes to soak up some of the salt, but will they just soak up the salt?  They won't soak up too much other stuff to change the sauce otherwise, will they?
