Painting my nails, reading, and waiting for True Blood to start!

FI and I actually kept our insanely expensive cable just because of True Blood. Once it's over, Netflix here we come.

I'm also considering getting caught up on Mad Men so we can watch this season.  Can I watch it online anywhere? (too lazy to google)

So, we made a major life decision today. We were going save like crazy for the next few years and then buy a new house, but we've decided to stay here and renovate our house. I've got an appointment to get an estimate for new floors through out the house and Matt is going to paint all of our cabinets next week. I'm so excited!

Fun, Cew!  FI and I are just dreaming of buying our first home... I think we'll go for a slightly outdated one, so we can do some renovations and still make it feel like 'ours.'  

What do you all plan on doing??

I'm still holding onto my dream of a custom IKEA kitchen.

I have taken Max to Doggie Day Camp, gotten my hairs cut and colored with lots and lots of blonde for the summer (and my eyebrows waxed), and came home to take a nice long nap.

I picked up some fun pink nail polishes at the drugstore when I picked up Max, and of course we've been practicing my manual driving skills. In the Miata. With the top down, of course. Max loves that.

I'm waiting to see my favorite scene in Hitch, and then I'm going to turn on The Lovely Bones. Although, Saw III was calling my name...

It's between that and doing hard wood (laminate) all through the house. No matter what,  we'd like to have hard wood all through the upstairs, so depending on the cost, we will either do the whole thing or everywhere but the kitchen and then paint the kitchen floor.

paint the whole house
new living room furniture
new fixtures and lights in the bathrooms

It's kind of my dream decor and we know that if we saved like crazy and bought a house, we'd still have to do a ton of shiit to it to make it like we want it. Cew- have you tried blogger? It's pretty much idiot proof.  You CAN go all out and crazy with it, or you can keep it super simple.

I gave up on some of the work I was supposed to do today, but just finished some of it and I'm sending it to my coworker right now. I hope she likes it!

I made cake mix cookies (chocolate with white chips), Lemon Meltaways that still need to be frosted, and I have half the beef I need for the french dip sandwiches tomorrow in the crockpot. I have to do it in batches because my crock is only so big. I'll do the other half overnight.

I'm fixing to throw some steaks and zucchini on the grill. Then I'll be cutting up 15 lbs of sweet potatoes and par-boiling them in preparation for making fries tomorrow before I bring all this darn food to the teenagers again. They were so appreciative of a hot meal last time that I just couldn't say no to another dinner for them. 

I hope I finish cutting before Mad Men, but if not, I'll be cutting and watching and hoping I don't get too much blood on the fries.

Hey girls,

I'm so jealous of all the True Blood-ing tonight! I love the books, but watch the season DVDs when they come out since we don't have HBO. 

I've just been writing another paper today and I'll probably just watch Bridezillas or something equally mindless tonight. 

FI and I are definitely moving out of NJ once we're married, so we've been spending our weekends researching NC a lot lately in order to have an idea of where we want to go.  Yay to everyone with the house renovations!
