"Snarky" def

The open bar post caused a bit of a stir with snarky vs. bitchy...so:

Snarky
"A witty mannerism, personality, or behavior that is a combination of sarcasm and cynicism. Usually accepted as a complimentary term. Adjective - Any language that contains quips or comments containing sarcastic or satirical witticisms intended as blunt irony. Usually delivered in a manner that is somewhat abrupt and out of context and intended to stun and amuse. Origin: Snark="snide remark."

Bitchy
"An adjective that's supposed to be used to describe someone irritable, moody and whiny. Even if a person is not bitchy but rather, honest or blunt, a stupid person may use "bitchy" to describe that person. Bitchy is the creative limit when it comes to insults coming from the same stupid people."

And so there you have it! Snarky does NOT equal bitchy!

Snarky--A stupid word the knot labeled this board when they couldn't think of anything else.

Biitchy--what whiny people call posters we flatly refuse to give in to with their desire to hear only what they want.

I'm going to have to agree with falling... I just looked in my dictionary and her definition was pretty much verbatim with only a slight discrepancy (bitchy has one i).... hahahaha
