I am annoyed and question

Re: I am annoyed and question

  • I know what you mean Ricks. My best friend is going for fitness/nutrition, and we had this one friend who would insist on getting food advice from her all the time, only to completely disregard it and then biitch about how it wasn't working. We dropped the friend, but I know how annoyed she was by it.
  • I don't have this problem, but when I get out of a final exam if I'm not sure how I did I never want to talk about it again. If one of my friends insists they want to analyze answers I usually make a joke about it that's super overdramatic but gets the point across like "Like if I see another X problem right now I'm going to punch something."

Maybe you could just blame it on the stressful schoolwork, like "nutrition is making crazy, I study it all day, dream about it at night, I want to have a fun nutrition-free time with you, let's go shopping."

Haha yes, I was the same way.  I had forgotten about that.  People would be like, "what did you put for the one that asked about bla bla bla economic theory?" and I was like, "Shhhhh.  Let's go make a tub of jungle juice and call it a day."

  • Well now I feel bad paging you Monday to ask about food ideas. =P
For reals, I totally get it. I work in NICU as a nurse and I STILL get questions about adult medical matters from my family. One uncle was heavy in the TMI department despite me telling him that I cannot help him, at all, and he should be asking his doctor these questions. Then he wanted to sue the doctor and asked me about that because oh yeah, I have a law degree attached to my RN license!

LTZ--I actually had a guy not want to pay me for work I already had done on a logo and business card for him (I do graphic design on the side currently, second degree) because he 'would pay when we see something we like.' I refused to do anymore until he paid. People treat designers like we're a dime a dozen and it sucks. And as a result, there is so much bad design out there it makes me stabby.

  • I worked as a secretary in a law office for a few months and my family STILL calls me asking for legal advice! Um, hello I AM NOT A LAWYER-not even close.

  • i'm keeping a tab of every food related question I've answered on here since last year.  Your bills for consultation fees will be arriving shortly after the holidays.  Merry Christmas.
