Good Morning

Morning! It's our last morning in FL. Put flight home was delayed 2 hours through so we don't leave until 4:30 this afternoon. We have had a nice time here and even won a few bucks at the Hard Rock casino last night. we were down 120 or so, then H won 134. We decided to quit while we were ahead. Though we spent more money on drinks than we won, oops. I thought they would be free like they were in Vegas but nope. Oh well. Meghan good luck house hunting and congrats on your promotion!

Milkduds-I love that you guys are willing to do things you're bad at, more people should be willing to look a little silly imo!

I realized on my way to work this morning that I didn't know where my coat was. I parked and it was on a fence post by my path to work so I am thankful for some guardian angel of coats because I need it for camping this weekend!

H and I are going to my parents church's annual campout. My birthday is the night before so we'll celebrate Friday night and then also on Saturday with friends and family at the campout. I am pulling for ice cream cake. 

We are going to dinner at one of Portland's nicer restaurants tonight with H's boss and his wife. Not really sure what the purpose is but I don't mind free food!

I love Oliver, Anna. I'm getting a prescription for pain meds filled then home to work. Or I might take an unpaid day if I have to take the meds. Dentist sucked. Something about extra nerves in the tooth thay shouldnt be there and because of last week's disaster part of the clamp had to go up along my gums. Hell do I hurt right now

I love brilliant medical observations like that Nebb. My thyroid, they FINALLY diagnosed properly is messed up. Since it was diagnosed properly and treated with good 'ol fashioned Synthroid, I have dropped 44 pounds in 2 months. Dr. said, and I quote "I want you to get in some more calories, your TH levels are perfect now and I know you need to lose more but not so fast". I thought my eating habits and age were responsible for me all by themselves going from size 6/8 to 18 over the past four years. Guess not!

I am not saying you have the same issue, sounds like they would have found that out by now (unless your Dr is as dumb as mine was for THREE YEARS, at least!). Just saying I too have experienced medical stupidity. Fire the S.O.B. I bet you have already.

Is it completely vain or bitchy or psycho of me to be 110% terrified of developing a thyroid condition?  In my mind I love that I can control how I look but if I were to gain a bunch of weight with absolutely no control over it I would probably just die   I can't imagine the frustration of that.

It's okay, you would gain control over it by doing a few things differently than I did: If you have any thyroid issues in your family (one aunt can count) get your thyroid level checked at each physical - and do NOT let them tell you you are to young for the test. Also, make sure you know if you have someone in your family with thyroid issues - I did not know until recently. Then do the one thing I did right - do not play around with an FB or gdferbid a GYN (they will try!) to get you medicated if you do develop issues. Go to the Endocryn specialist ASAP.

We get use to the size we are. If you are 5'9 and you have never been an ounce over 130, 155, while not even over BMI idieal range can feel large. I understand.

I got to write up a kid today for SPITTING on another kid. I haven't wanted to punch a student in a long time but seriously how stupid are you? Right in front of me after I had already moved him.

I'm making bacon cheeseburger rigatoni tonight. It's actually not quite as unhealthy as it sounds (it's got lots of veggies). FI looked at it and goes "wow, this recipe was written for you". Lots of my favorite ingredients

They insist my thyroid is fine. Cause I'm just lying when I say I could my calories, weigh everything I eat and work out regularly. I'm clearly a mcdonalds addict with a facial hair problem.



Can you tell I'm bitter? I don't have time to pursue another doctor. I'd have to miss work to see my gp to be referred elsewhere, then wait a month for another specialist appointment, then miss work for that too. I'm running out of sick time and I'm fed up. I'm just going to be a fat fuuucking slob the rest of my life. Whatever.

Facial hair problem and weight issue? I assume they looked at polycystic ovarian syndrome? Which does not mean you now have ovarian cysts... Sorry I don't mean to play Dr. just wondering.
