Saturday was my shower and I had sooo much fun!
It started off with the surprise of my sister had shirts made for the bridal party. All last week I was asking her to find a shirt for me to wear to the shower and everyday there was an excuse as to why she couldn't. So, Friday evening, I took FH to the mall with me and we found the cutest shirt in our wedding colors. Good idea right?? LOL! Well I get to the shower and the bridal party has on the cutest shirts so of course I had to change. (Gotta find somewhere to wear that shirt)
We then played the typical games. Wedding dresses out of tissue, how well do you know the bride and the wedding word scrabble. There were some questions on the "How well do you know the bride" that even I couldn't answer. But I came up with something and everyone was pleased.
The food was to die for. They did a pot luck. We had my mom's seven layer salad and lasagna, chicken, fruit, veggies, pasta salad, sandwiches and the cake was from our bakery for the wedding. Yay!!
I got many of the things off of our registry. I was not happy with what I heard about the associates from BBB though. My godsister said that they were not scanning the registries because the store was so crowded. WHAT!!! So FH and I have about 6 things that we have to take back. He is happy about that because he is going to get the coffee maker that he wanted. I did get some cute and classy night wear and people came up with cute ideas of what I should be doing at the time of day there were given. I even got some kinky things like handcuffs and some fruity gel called Good Head. Go figure!!
My gifts were a HIT!! I wound up getting candles for my mom, sister and cousin and my scrapbooking group was so surprised at the bags. I was crying while I said thanks and many of them cried too. So sweet.
I was so happy when I left. I didn't like that a few people didn't call and say that they weren't coming but it happens. All in all, I am very grateful! Now I await the Bachlorette Party!!!
