Good morning?

Re: Good morning?

  • Omg YIO that story makes me RAGEFUL.  I always look at my dog and think about how sweet she is and how could anyone ever hurt an animal like that?  Especially when dogs just... I mean, they love you so unconditionally and their whole world revolves around you.  I can't even imagine it.  I mean I stepped on Lucy's foot one time and felt terrible about it for an entire evening FFS!

  • So what? Closing up early could still result in lost business. I just really hate when people use the whole "so-and-so is self-employed" line like that means they can do whatever they want, when they want. It's not that easy. It's a business, and has to be treated as such.

jcb, I'm sorry about the job. I hope he finds something, and even better than Atlanta.
  • JCB that sucks. I wish people would just be honest about things and keep their mouths shut if they aren't positive. Another dog story. My pup was swinging his big rubber tire around last night and hit my foot. It ripped of half of my big toe nail. Now it hurts like a biotch.

  • I do hair in a salon and I found that people are only loyal to their stylist/ barber for so long. If you close early or are not available when they needed you they will go somewhere else easily. That's lost business and in that business it can be dangerous. If your hours are posted and you aren't there during those hours people start to assume there is something going on. I so want to take that dog but it doesn't like other dogs, and apparently it hates a lot of people. I can't risk my kid or my puppy being hurt to save that dog.

My dad is self employed too (farmer) and basically if it's not raining, dude is working, lol.  It's why none of us daughters can have weddings in the spring or summer months.  He wouldn't miss walking us down the aisle in order to go spraying but none of us would feel right about making him not work.  Nice days are a dime a dozen sometimes.  With that said though, I do think Dot gave them ample time to plan for this.  Even though he's not self employed it sucks for Ben to have to take off work- he works most Saturdays, so we have to plan in advance if we have to go out of town.  And it sucks because even if he does get it off, well that just means he won't be getting paid.  Lame.

  • Oh I forgot I have a dog story today!

Last night Atticus stole a paper napkin off the LR table and ate it before we could get it out of his mouth. He's hasnt pooped all day.

[QUOTE]KD him a slice or two of apple. That will help get him moving.
