Yes, BK - they're currently at 90% containment.  But you're right, so many animals have been driven from the foothills and don't know where to go.  They were roaming the evacuated neighborhoods for a few days (especially since no one had time to put the trash cans in, put away the pet food, etc).  We've had bears in my neighborhood (just east of Academy Blvd), way east of where they belong.

I my sister just called to tell me that my ex-best friend who I havent talked to in a year had a baby??  Thats nice.

No, lol.  Im not mad at my sister, im glad she told me because i would rather know than get blindsided, its just that if you knew this old bff of mine, and how much of a mess her life is, it is quite shocking.

My mind is actually blown.

However, her baby is really sick in the hospital I guess and I feel really bad, its just I cant get invested in that friendship again.  Her mother actually called me by accident (had 3 Melissas in her phone) 2 weeks ago and didnt mention a word about it.

I hadn't thought about that aspect. 

I hope the baby is OK.  I would love to volunteer at a childrens hospital but I know emotionally I couldn't do it.  I would cry.

Morning!! Sounds link people had a good 4th, hough I have only read the first page. Mine was spent driving 14 hours from NC to my hometown in good ol IN. My parents came too we are going to a wedding on Saturday for a good friend of mine from HS, and my parents are friends with her parents so we were all invited. So my parents are in our hometown visiting friends and H and I are on the train to Chicago to visit friends there til Sat morning. Then back to IN for the wedding Sat night, then driving back to NC Sunday. Lots of traveling! Plus I started working 2 weeks ago, we have officially started house hunting, and I was in a town an hour south last weekend to visit a friend before ahe moves further away in a few weeks. So life has been a bit of a whirlwind lately, but good.

Thanks Edie! Job is good. Only issue is they originally old me that I could use county vehicles, but found out that I actually can't since I'm hired through a temp agency long story as to why, but the short version is my program will be taken over by another agency in a few months, so the state didn't want to pay any benefits for new hires for such a short time. And our division director doesnt want me transporting clients in my personal car, which I would rather not do anyway. But a lot of my job requires driving with clients. So they are trying to work something out. Other than that and a couple of bother admin issues though, I think I will like it!

Well now I'm 135 minutes in and I DID find a cute end table at Target online. I recently got a measly bonus at work and I'm going to use it to update my living room tonight with that table-if online is correct and the table is available at my home store. So, yes, very very productive over here!

Dot- 15 years.  We didnt have a falling out or fight, I just stopped trying to reach out.  She is very selfish and was getting divorced the same time I was getting married and just couldnt put things aside for a few hours at my shower, bach party (she got into a fist fight with another BM), and wedding.  And the last time I talked to her I was in the beginning stages of treatment, and I had told her about a surgery the following day. She didnt call me to see how i was, but got pregnant 2 weeks later?  Its just weird.

Imagine your BFF was Snooki.  That is my ex-bff except 10 years older.  I feel like J-Wow finding out she had a baby.  And a sick baby on top of that.  She couldnt even take care of a dog, nevermind a sick baby.

But whatever, I hope the baby is ok and everyone is happy.  Im just shocked, lol.
