I honestly think it's a lack of education. when you get pregnant its not like you get an instruction manual with it. My mom has mentioned when I get really irritated about parents being too hard on their kids (FI's dad is ex-navy and so intense) she reminds me that almost every parent does the best they can and when they make mistakes its never on purpose.

I think if parents got more education as their child develops, on pertinent topics such as self-esteem, depression, comprehensive sex ed for example, then they would know how to react/answer questions.

Ok. Six more to go. I'll say six random things....

I just started watching season one of Glee for the first time (I started watching halfway through when it was airing), and all of the episodes have made me cry so far. I'm kind of ridiculous.

Also, the confessions thread yesterday made me sad when ladies said that it was hard for them to hear those of us in a healthy weight range talk about weight loss. I'm finally treating my body well and losign weight, and I'm proud of it, but I wouldn't want to make anybody else feel bad about themselves. I feel kind of stuck :P

Of course it's hard. I'd kill to have some of your bodies. But that doesn't mean you should stop being proud of however far you've come. One day, I hope to be one of you. Until then, don't feel bad because of someone else's shortcomings.

Oh man, Monday nights episode was so weird. It was so sad and then it pissed me off. Someone died on the show, and there was NO funeral, NO grieving except for in the waiting room at the hospital. NOTHING. It was BS. I don't know if that person and the show didn't end on amicable terms, but come on.

So, several things....

Gleek is totally a real thing! Glee + Geek = Gleek, get it? I'm bummed out with how sexualized it's been lately (that Maxim thing made me want to puke), but for the most part I just love it. It's The Happys.

The weather here has been gorgeous! It was rainy and gross for a while, but it's been mostly sunny and breezy here. Not quite warm, but pleasant

And thanks so much, ewhiteman! We DIY'd all of our flowers except for my bouquet (I was nervous about doing it well, but I'm sure you'll do great!). There were some orchids, dahlias, ranuculus, and a few others.. I'm friends with my florist on FB, so I'd be happy to connect you with her! She's really sweet, so I'm sure she'd be happy to get you the info even though you wouldn't be working with her.
