Snarky Brides

Hokay, so...

...It's dead in here.

Tell me a joke.  Tell me something random.  Tell me anything, hell, I'm bored.

  • How about a random fact?

Womens' brains are about 10% smaller than mens'. People once thought that the size of the brain indicated intelligence, but we now know this isn't true within a species.

    Another random fact:
My neuro book is giving me an existential crisis. I don't think this is a normal reaction.

  • AATB- I like your new sig pic. I assumed every day was your birthday before.

  • Loving these random facts but that FB status is an instant classic.

  • They found that it is proportionate to body mass. Maybe women's brains are more active too. I put down the book because it was making me sad. (I am such a dork).

Katie- You already cleaned the deck. I think you've reached your cleaning quota for the week!

    Thank you jasmine.

However it most certainly is my birthday, constantly.

  • More randomness:

I was driving in downtown Austin this morning at 7:30, leaving bootcamp. I saw a man in his mid 60's SKATEBOARDING in the middle of the street, in the normal flow of traffic, with a hiking backpack on. At least he was wearing a helmet. I think he may be an original punk, but I couldn't be sure because he was wearing a business suit. Surely skateboarding 60 year olds can't be that common.

Only in Austin, where we like to keep it weird.

That's the sad part. As much time as I've spent out there I've maybe cleaned 25% of the deck. I think I'll be kind to my neighbors and give them a day without the power washer though.

Oh oh! I bought a dress today and I love it :) (Me loving dresses is kind of a big deal)

Thanks, doll face.  I think I look pretty good for my age.

I can do way more than that skateboarding 60 year old and I'm way older than he is.  So, run and tell THAT... (npasquale?!)

  • Random fact: In Montana, if I ride my horse to school, the school must provide water and a hitching post.

FUN!  What's the dress like Katie?  And what for?  Just treating yourself?

ETA - Jas, Montana is so badass.

  • A blue wrap around dress. Just because :) I went to Kohl's with my mom for more work shirts and saw it hanging on the rack and though, you know, I've never tried on a wrap dress. I put it on and actually liked myself for the first time in a while so off to the register I ran. I got a couple cute work tops too :)

I got more paint too, so by this time tomorrow the horrible peach and green hallway will be gone!
  • That dress sounds adorable :) I love random finds like that.  One of these days something will come up and you'll think "ZOMG I HAVE THE PERFECT DRESS FOR THIS!"  ...well something along those lines.

"Didn't get the job. Wonder if the guy could tell I smoked a blunt just before the interview."

I have no randomness. But we do have a Kohls just down from work and now I'm tempted to go see if they also have blue wrap dresses for me to try on.
  • Good afternoon ladies!

i just finished reorganizing my corner kitchen cupboard as it had become a "just stuff anything in here" cabinet and a dreadful mess.

Now on to trying to make dinner appear less healthy.
  • Seshat go! They had crazy sales. Dad got stuff too and we saved $125 dollars, only paid $80. That's a lot of savings.
I'll take a pic as soon as the cat stops being cuddly so eta of 10 minutes lol.
  • LOL@ dmiller.

Seshat - I think that update would be even better if the guy GOT the job, despite his pre-interview toke session.

  • How about a random Ben story?

We were in line paying for our dinner from Cracker Barrel last night and he was holding this m&m's thing that has a small fan on it. He told everyone in line that he was buying it to "blow mom's toots away".

Sarah, Austin is truly an amazing place.

A friend just moved down there and saw a very interesting man downtown on her first day there.  According to her, he was about 6'2", 250-ish pounds, had on a bright blonde wig that was past his shoulders, a t-shirt that he rolled up and pulled the end through the front (so it was a make-shift bikini), was wearing a black leather skirt, and had very hairy legs.  She didn't get to see what type of shoes he was wearing because the light turned green.

Another random incident, I saw an old lady driving her scooter in the right lane of a major road in downtown Dallas one day.  I don't blame her though, the sidewalk was all torn up.  But geez, talk about waiting for an accident to happen.

  • Ohh. I want a new dress, but dresses always look funny on me.

I did, however, just buy new khakis and dress pants from Old Navy.

  • Ben is the bomb.
