Happy Sunday!

Good Morning!

It's 8am here and we're already at the high temp for the entire week.  Supposedly a storm will come through and cool us off soon.  I'm hoping.  it's so darn dry.

I've got buckets of schoolwork to do today, I've got some sewing I want to do,  and we're going to see Prometheus after lunch.  I'm really hoping it's decent.  There are very few things as disappointing to me as going to the theater to see a movie and it being a big ol dud.

  • Morning! I feel ya on the heat.  It's so hot here.  We went to an outdoor wedding yesterday afternoon, but thankfully it was shaded.

Just sitting around for the moment.  We'll be off to church later, and then some of my aunts/uncles are coming in to visit grandpa, so I think we're going to head over there and visit with everyone.  Other than that, nothing horribly exciting planned for the day. Hopefully some cleaning.
  • I want to see Prometheus too, but Tim refuses to go to the movies. Jerk.

Next week I'm planning to borrow our friends 7 year old to go see Madagascar 3, after which I'm going to try to talk him into seeing The Avengers with me.

I have to do laundry today and I'm going to attempt to do some alterations to a dress I got last week, but my sewing skills are pretty weak so I'm just going to hope for the best.

<div>My h is anti-movie theaters most of the time but if we go to the early-bird movies it's only $5. each so at least it appeals to his wallet  ;)</div><div>
</div><div>I told him to get use to it since The Hobbit comes out pretty much on our anniversary this year and yeh, I don't wanna wait until it's not busy.  i want it asap.</div>
  • Morning!  I'm getting some work done this morning, and cleaning, and then BF and I are going to PrideFest downtown to hang out for a while.  It's gorgeous (and hot) so I'm sure it'll be fun.

True Blood comes back tonight!  I'm so excited.

  • Morning! Gotta finish the placecards today because I got too drunk yesterday to finish them lol. Oops. FI comes back from his bachleor party today so I'm assuming he'll be laying low.

I want a storm. It's been so long.

I don't even know what this Prometheus movie is about. I haven't heard/seen of it other than on TK.

    <div>Ladybug cake?!</div>
  • She's walking now Chels. It's insane.

Yup Anna! I want to do one like this but it might takee practice.
    Cute Ladybug Cake.

  • Morning. I want to see a movie. I don't even care which one. I just want to go to the theatre.

I slept like crapola again last night. I finally got back to sleep at like 7am after dealing with the dogs... and my phone rang. (I'm on call for work this month). I took that as a sign to give up and get up for the day.  We have a bunch of events going on today, so I have to be on campus for a few hours. I'm really not looking forward to walking around in the 95* weather. blah.
  • Katie, your baby is ADORABLE!

Steph, I'll bet you aren't looking forward to it! 95 degrees is bad enough, and with baby on board, jeesh!

Good morning! H woke me up with the promise of McDonald's breakfast, so now I'm super hungry.

I had two different dreams last night that I'm having a boy. One was a dream within the other dream. It was weird. So I don't know if the universe is trying to tell me that I am having a boy, or if it was H whispering to my stomach before bed last night, "You have a penis." H is weird.

KW- That cake is supercute, but not as cute as your little one!

  • Lizzy- I despise the heat in general. Anything above about 80* and I'm crabby. (There's a reason I live in MN. I love cold weather.)  So yeah. I'm pretty much miserable. ;)

SEWF- don't count on anything. All along I though baby was a boy. I had dreams about it too. SURPRISE! ha

Steph- Yeah, I'm happy either way, and H would be too, but he's REALLY hoping for a boy!

  • Ha Sewf :) I was convinced I was having a boy (and that my two ultrasounds were wrong) until the doctor placed her on my chest and said "Here's your daughter". H would whisper to my belly "girl girl girl" during first tri too.
  • KW- the little berry is getting so big! And cute as a ladybug.

I cleaned most the day yesterday, so my house is clean for while H is OOT. He's my biggest dirt and clutter maker. Laundry is done and I was up early to water the plants.

We had an interesting evening, I've told H for about a week now that he needed to reload the mouse trap cause the cat would sit all night and stare at the stove. Well last night we're in bed and we hear a ruckus, H goes to find out and Tobie has a mouse in the LR, he thought it was dead till it went under the credenza, H tried to get him but some how he got passed him. So H set the trap and we went to bed.

This morning Tobie REALLY wanted H up and  kept biting him. So, when he did get up he found a mouse on the 1/2 bath floor. He went to pick it up and it was alive. So, glad the cat didnt eat it. Yuck.

I just got home from a bike ride. FH rode out early this morning and did 30 miles and i went to meet him for breakfast. It will be way too hot to do anything this afternoon. One of the many things I like FH is that he likes going to the movies as much as I do. We both always have to get popcorn too. We go the the movies 23 times a month if there are enough things to see. We both really liked the Avengers yesterday and neither of us were familiar with the comics. We'd only seen the Iron Man movies leading up to it. I wanted to see Prometheus next weekend but it is Pride so we can't move our car. FH has never seen the original Alien movies so I may subject him to those today.

  • Good job Tobie :) I think Demon would hide if she saw a mouse.
  • Morning! I made these this morning- um so delicious. and I am sure totally healthy. Going to do a little cleaning and then hopefully spend time by the pool. I will be annoyed if there are a bunch of kids running around, but what can you do.

And yay for True Blood!! It is finally here. Also- Veep is a great show, for anyone that has HBO you should give it a try.

Aw, Kd, that's cute. Do you think he was afraid of the mouse or just wanted it out? Whisky is afraid of things that move.

Not much going on today. I'm super sore from helping H work and tired from getting in late from the lame-o party I was dragged to. So boring. I need to go to Target to get a few things for my vacation next week but I'm feeling lazy.

KW, YGEmail in a few minutes, if I can get Yahoo to work. It's being an a-hole right now.
  • Chels- holy wow you look amazing!! I just took a look at your progress photos :)

I think he wanted to show daddy what he did. He got lots of praise this morning. He's quite the mouser, he and daddy tried to catch it together last night, so they are a team.

He always bites H when he wants him up, so it was odd that he had been up to let the dog out and feed  them both at 5:30, and he still kept bugging him at 8:30, for him to be so insistent that he get up. Now we know why ;)

  • Sesh - back at ya.

Oooh there is an herb festival here today :) Hopefully Bug will wake up from her nap soon and we can check that out.
  • Hey everyone!

I'm so glad it's sunday. I offered to have the yard sale for the boat at my house yesterday. Big mistake. The people who ran it brought their kids and they were running in and out of my house all day. The ate my food without asking and I found a banana peel ON MY BEDROOM floor. They left the doors open all over the house and all these bugs got inside and god knows how much air conditioning got out. Plus, when they came to set up Friday night, my dogs got out and I had to run all over the neighborhood to get them. I had no shoes on and got glass all in my foot. It blistered and got swollen so I had to go to urgent care to get it out.

So needless to say, I will never, ever offer my house for anything again.

Today, I walked and cleaned and all I plan on doing is watching tv and finishing laundry.

    Chels- Love your new pic!

  • LHT- Ugh, sorry you had A-holes in your house! What the hell is wrong with people? You are in someone elses house, have some respect!

    How's your foot?

  • It feels so much better now! Friday night, it was really swollen and sore with all these blisters but today, I can't feel it at all.

  • Hike it is horrifying that people can be that inconsiderate. I couldn't imagine being that rude myself, I was raised better.  However, it's no longer surprising that a lot of people don't think about anyone but themselves.

Are the bitchy wives treating you any better?

  • Celtic- Um, kinda. There are like 3 or 4 women who are super nice and I can see becoming close friends with them. There is this one group though that basically think it's high school and they are the mean girls. They suck but everyone else also thinks they suck. They are assholes to pretty much everyone.
    imageBabyFruit Ticker
  • That sounds awful, hike. That's why I hate having company and refuse to host parties at my house. People suck.
