Re: Night thread?

  • KIM SIGHTING!

Hi guys :)  It was gross here today.  We have the air on because we're dumb.  But I'm loving that it's 8:30 and not fully dark yet.

[QUOTE]Let me know how it goes, Nebb! H always gets annoyed with me, because I LOVE candles. I could save serious money if I made my own. Can you scent them? With what/ Just essential oils? (Is this a really stupid question?)

Yup, soy is apparently excellent for scenting.

Thanks Pixie! She's better, but J stayed with her all day so I could work, and I felt bad about going to a vendor dinner afterwards. We're having a Kentucky Derby Happy Hour after work tomorrow, so I'd rather go to that than dinner with vendors. I cannot WAIT to hear what all was said about our boss, though.

  • But Kim,  you live in AZ.

Steph, it didn't cool off at all here after the storms.  It's disgusting outside.  We really just have it on to suck the humidity though.

  • I know!  I try to remind myself that we save money in the winter because we hardly ever use the heater, but damn.

Nebb, that's true, come August we won't be here so maybe I should stop complaining because that's the worst of it usually.
  • We're at that weird part of the year where our poorly insulated house gets up in the eighties during the day, so we leave the heater off, but then it's really cold in the mornings. It makes it really hard to get out of bed in the mornings.

  • oh, that sucks, J. After the storms rolled through here, it dropped like 10 degrees. It was a little muggy, but the last few hours have gotten so much better. How's the new house???

    Too late, Sarah. ;)

Kim, can I ask how much it is? (feel free to tell me no.) I'm always curious. I compared heating bills with Blue this winter and I was flabbergasted. Apparently it's REALLY cheap to heat/cool houses in MN.

  • We're on the third floor above an elderly gentleman so we managed to keep our heat off all winter.

We're going to pay for it this summer though. We haven't put the window units in yet, but it's coming. I can't sleep if I'm hot and if I don't sleep I'm a raging bitch.

  • Blue, it's good!  There is still shiit everywhere, but it's getting unpacked and put away slowly.  We're going to have a bit of an issue with the neighbor that's been mowing part of our lawn, but I'm trying not to stress about it too much.

    And EEEEEEEEEE!  Fingers crossed!
