Election night

Anyone else watching the results pour in and drinking a beverage/eating popcorn? All my candidates are looooosing.

Re: Election night

  • I don't think I'll be watching all night. I'll probably check in just to make sure the oompa-loompa isn't elected governor (god help us if she is) but other than that I need a break from stressful stuff after work. Heh.

  • I'm watching the news right now as I knot to keep tabs on everything. It's kind of new to me, because I never paid too much attention to midterm elections until now.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Election night : How late are your polls open? Ours are open until 8, I think. You must be only 7?

I think it's just 7, but i could be wrong since I'm always an early-bird voter.
  • I wish I lived in a purple state.  Elections would be much more interesting.  I vote,  but it often feels like an exercise in futility because I know Arizona will lean hard right on every. single. issue.

And I freaking hate John McCain.

  • I hate politics and all the analysis that goes with it. I voted. Watching the results makes no difference, so I'll be watching Teen Mom tonight instead. The radio station I listen to was advertising that it would have absolutely NO election coverage tonight. I like having that option.

Oh, and McRib rocks, but without the pickles and onions.

  • See, I get extra onions and extra sauce.  I could go either way on the pickles. Once the sauce is gone, I'm done.

And, normally, I don't like pork, either. I have a really hard time digesting "hard" meats like steak, pork, chicken, tuna (like steaks). I do better with ground beef, and sadly, nuggets/the mcrib (but it needs to be doused in sauce), chicken that's been chopped up or from a can/bag, and tuna like tuna salad. The solid things are quicker to fill up my stomach, and take much longer to pass into my small intestine and digest, and I'm uncomfortable.

A long explanation for why I like thin hamburgers, nuggets, tuna salad, mcribs, and hot dogs......... :)

  • At least an ottoman. Maybe one of those with the storage and you can flip the top and it make a tray in which to hold snacks.

That would work. I'm pretty sure my candidate would fit in that.

But I also cried hysterically at the open bar at the local Republican watch party in 2008.

That would have been much, much worse.
