Snarky Brides

Dudes, why is this place so boring recently?

H and I are watching season 6 of Lost. I've already seen it, but he hasn't. Thanks Netflix!

Also, I've had a shit-tastic day and now I'm drinking even though I haven't drank for almost a month. Tell me a story.

And go.

  • I said beer but I could definitely do some damage with Mike Rowe.

I'm nursing my neck and watching the Twins play the Royals.  Exciting, yes.

  • How is Ben? Didn't you say he was feeling kinda crappy after the accident?
  • Ben is actually doing better than I am (the little shiit!).  He's a little stiff still but he didn't have the pain as bad as I did - while I was actually holding my head in my hands to sit up, he was able to do so while wincing - but no real issues.  My biggest fear is that this injury will come back to haunt us later in life :(

His biggest stress right now is work.  He's irritated that he's working a lot of extra hours this week because they are short two people and another is on vacation.  But extra work means extra money :)

I'm going to be brave and go to the gym tomorrow.  No sit ups or weight lifting but I just gotta burn some calories - I'm going nuts.  Prolly walk for a while and do a little elliptical action.

  • BEER!

    celebrating mike's b-daaaay!
I promise once October rolls around I will be here with your cute toosh everyday :)
  • Mmmm, Mike Row. He's yummy. And that voice. I'm a sucker for deep voices.

I'm boring because I feel shiity. Still recovering from my asthma. And I'm super tired. H and I are watching Wipeout, then I'm going to bed. I have nothing interesting to post about, unfortunately. The only thing going on in my life is my book, and I figure it's only a matter of time before people are like, "Seshat! STFU already! We get it!"

Cuz that's what my mom does. She's mean sometime, in that "I love you but I'm tired of talking about this" kind of way.
  • Its boring because work and actual wedding stuff are sucking my soul at this point. Oh, and everyone is sick! Boo!

    Happy birthday to Mr. T-Rex!!!

How long does it take to recover from an asthma attack Seshat?  Neither my mom nor my sister has had any real bad episodes for quite a while.  When I was 12, my mom woke up me really late at night and made me drive her to the hospital (we lived about 15 miles out of town) because my dad was still harvesting and no one else could drive her.  She was having a pretty bad attack and I remember I was going about 75 and she told me to go faster.  So scary :(

ETA - KW - what is it with dogs and grass?  My grandparent's old farm dog used to eat grass all the time, it was the weirdest thing ever.

  • Yeah I've got nothing. Stupid coworker has descended to the point that I can't even mock her, because no one can be that stupid so she no longer registers into my brain.
Katie is acting really weirdly though which is bugging me. She just ate so much grass you would have thought she was a horse.
  • AATB- Don't overexert yourself at the gym tomorrow! Take care of yourself!

M&M- H tells me my tush is cute all the time, so it must be true.

Sesh- I love Wipeout. Although it looks like some of the people could get hurt badly with the way they run into the objects, or the way they get hit. Ouch.
  • This place is boring cuz I'm never around anymore.

Wait...I'm the only one that even knows who I am...so, umm...carry on.

  • Oh thank you maratea :) I won't.  It will be a really leisurely time.  I just have to move a little otherwise I will explode.

In other bitchfest news - I am pissed.  I contacted a local property management place about renting a townhouse TWO WEEKS AGO.  Their number goes directly to voicemail and asks you to leave a message.  They called this morning when I was in the shower and left me a message to call them back and the number they gave me was their damn message line again.  If I don't hear from them in another two weeks... ugh.  We'll probably have to go in to see them in person.

  • I don't know. It looks like her stomach isn't feeling too well, which is somewhat expected since she stole a lick of my spagetti sauce (after I was done and completely illegally) and Scott makes it hot. Hopefully the grass will either settle it or make her puke and get anything else out. It's been 3 hours since she did that though so it's a weird delayed reaction.
  • I voted Mike Rowe.  I feel the need to make a "dirty job" joke.

I'm here being angry about wedding related things and wanting to stomp around the house.  Grr motha fucka.  Also, I have to do german homework tonight which always makes me A) panic or 2) stomp some more.

Dis not true. I know who you are. You are a pretty lady!

In fact, I'm watching you right now...
  • AATB--it depends. Sometimes I use my inhaler and I'm over it in an hour. Other times it lasts for a few days. If I move too fast, get excited, over-exert myself, I feel like I'm suffocating. It's getting better today, but I still feel it in my chest. It also depends on whether or not my allergices are messing with me.

mar--I know, I don't understand how some of these people don't break their backs or neck, especially when they flop around on the Big Balls. H and I want to compete with my family on the course some day.
  • I want to be a contestant on Wipeout in the worst way.  It looks so incredibly badass.  50 large isn't bad of a prize, either.  I could have fun, err... be responsible with 50 large.
    panther
  • Sesh- Some of those people hit those balls (hehe) and bend in ways that aren't normal for a person. There's been a few times that H and I were legitimately concerned for a contestant.

50k would be pretty sweet, but if you've got 20k in medical bills from the aftermath... :)
  • You can keep Mike Rowe. i'll take Mike Holmes. After I sex him up real good he can build me a house  :)

  • Yay! I do exisit!! I'm a real boy!

  • Mike Holmes is a freaking badass. I love him :)
  • I read the grass eating =/= bad or upset stomach. They just like the taste of it sometimes. Max rarely, if ever, pukes after he does it.

Did I mention I have a birthday card for J FROM Mike Rowe, signed in person by him? I most certainly do. Personally addressed to him and everything.

I'm watching Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween II. Damn, Zombie goes for the realistic wounds and gore. No holds barred. I think I blanked that out from watching part I.

My nephew started kindergarten today. Rode the school bus and everything. He looked so proud of himself. I'm excited, proud, and sad all at the same time. J and I are his favorite aunt and uncle (along with my mom's youngest sister and her husband, but they're his greats). I may or may not have bribed him a little bit.  My competition is pretty damn weak, too.....

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • How'd you pull that one off Missy?

The freshmen today looked so cute and little and lost. They are adorable. In another 4 months they will turn into little shiits though. :(
  • I never taught Freshman, but I have a 9th grade homeroom this year.  it really saddens me that some of the girls are very sweet and innocent and just confused about life in general and some dress and act like complete skanks.
  • Yeah, they let dress code slide today and some of the first day outfits made me want to cover girls in blankets. I didn't see my pain in the ass kid from last year though, so I'm hoping he's somewhere else this year.
  • He was at the National Jamboree (he's an Eagle Scout). My dad took the card up, told him the story (we couldn't be there J's a big fan, blah blah), and he signed the card). I have one signed by Steven Spielberg and Lee Greenwood. In 1989, they were the guests, and I was in a cast from the knee down and on crutches, so I had to stay home. Mom did that one - it was a get well card. I'll have to email a pic of it to you or something - it's in my emails, but I can't save it to this computer - J uses it.

  • I vote Rum and Coke..  It's so bad of me, I mean, it's my first day back at work after the 3 day weekend.  But today was a horribly, crappy, busy day.

Does anyone else's kitty cat try to drink their alcoholic beverages?  Mine not only plays with anything imaginable, and eats ANYTHING, but he constantly tries to steal our "drinks!"  I guess he wants to relax too after a hard day of play!

  • I'm still insanely jealous that Tide got to meet Victoria Stillwell.

Demon just steals my water. Everytime I get a new glass she has to drink out of it. Except normally she'll get her entire face wet when sticking it into the glass so I just get a new glass.

My dogs constantly try to drink our alcoholic beverages.  Lexus as a puppy was so into beer that she almost got renamed for a beer.

When my mom's dog was a puppy, I may or may not have let her have a sip of wine (literally, just a sip).  As an adult dog, she LOVES alcohol.  If you have a glass or bottle of whatever, she wants it.  I blame myself.
