I mean its not optimal but it can be done. I think you'll be fine. I'd settle into married life (you guys don't live together yet, right?) first and then think about adding in a dog. I think learning to live together is hard enough.

Yeah, we don't live together yet. He did stay with me for three weeks during the 09 flood because he needed to evacuate, but that doesn't really count. Actually no, it doesn't count at all. I really want to be able to focus on enjoying our alone time as a newly married couple, and yeah, dogs are a big responsibility. Ugh.

  • I have seen M&M lay it down hard, but its been awhile. Partly because it seems like people are really lurking before they post, or if they post ridiculous-ness and get a tiny shrivel of crap, they run away.

Now I am looking online for a wedding gift for Anthony.

Any suggestions? What did you guys get them?

I wanted to get Ben a Favre jersey because the Vikes play the Packers the day after the wedding, the Vikes were on fire last year, and Favre was the Baby Cheesus. Now the Vikes suck, Favre is just another pervy old athlete, and dammit... I need a new idea.

    Maybe Randy Moss?

    Or maybe a puppy *snicker*
In Response to Re: Night Owls? : Ya I am still here. Sorry I guess I missed the question. I thought I answered it already in another thread. I didn't say I didn't like you. I said I didn't love you. For me there is a big difference but there could be a case made for splitting hairs. I didn't like the jab you made at me in a post a while back about how no one liked me around here. Sorry I don't remember the exact wording. Then when I tried to clarify if it was me you were talking about or the other Mica (as someone esle suggested) you didn't answer me but did answer others like B about me like I wasn't there posting in the thread. I thought it was crappy.

I don't care if you hate me.

I actually said I thought you were the one people didn't like around here. Others clarfied it wasn't so I moved on. I didn't mean to not babysit my comment. Sorry.

We love Cirque Du Soleil. Actually Tim loves it more than me. So I'm going to give him a trip to Las Vegas instead of going to Disney world (ugh I gotta tell SarahSmiles cause I was so psyched to meet her!) so we can see all four shows located there.

    Posted by mica001
Maaaaaaybe. For some reason it's really important that the dog is a puppy, and our local rescue does have puppies. House breaking a dog just doesn't sound fun. Lol, he did say tonight though, "At least they won't be pissing on OUR carpet," because we're renting for a year or so after the wedding. True - but still.

I must say, I agree with your choice to wait until Jan to get a puppy. Im reminded everyday how much work it is lol. They are just so cute though!

  • I have a Great Dane. He will be 8months old in 2weeks. I am lucky because he was practically potty trained from birth lol. He has only had a handful of accidents since I brought him home.

  • I would love a huge ass dog like a Great Dane. Ben loves little yappers. He will not get his way.

It's scheduled to arrive this coming Friday. I will post pics! ...that is, if it actually does come.

  • Indeed! Excuse my 'supposedly' but I'm just a tad cynical, having been in a similar situation which ended rather badly!

(although it DID all work out fantastically in terms of the dress I ended up with... but not in terms of the store/my deposit/lawyers etc!)
