Scariest thing: I was on a rollercoaster at Kings Dominion when I was in highschool. The harness thing that went over your head loosened mid ride about 3 clicks. I thought I was going to fall to my death. It was horrible.

Afraid of: I'm afraid of getting old. Old people kind of creep me out - I'm always uncomfortable around them. My grandmother had dementia for 10 years. She survived the holocaust. When her memory went, she couldn't remember my mother (her daughter), but she always remembered me; I was her favorite, I think. The only thing that she recalled in detail were things that happened in the concentration camps. I heard about the day the russians liberated the concentration camps more than I would ever have liked to. It breaks my heart that out of her entire life, that's what she remembered at the end.

Thats so sad :( Dementia and Alzheimers are cruel diseases. Getting old (not so much right now, but old age) scares me too, your body is no longer your body and you become so vulnerable.

    Drugs: nope. Never. Not once.

Funny sidestory: the first time I saw pot was at work (I work for US Customs.) One of the officers had found a little tiny bag on a passenger. I went into my office and was all excited because I had never seen it before. The two women in there were in their 50s and were like, "Seriously? You've never seen pot...?"

[QUOTE]Ricks - just one, although I'm not opposed to being with another. I think that DH and I will have a pretty open sexual relationship later on in life. Nebb, EMU story, abridged: My sister volunteers at the national zoo. Part of her duties include cleaning out the Emu pen. One day she went in and Darwin, the emu, was acting very strange. He was walking the fenceline, bobbing his head and fluffing his feathers. Unbeknownst to my sister, it was emu mating season and she, apparently, looked like a hot female emu. She used the rake to hold him off, as she backed out of the pen. For the rest of the season, anytime she would walk by, Darwin would look at her as if to say, "Hey baby. Wazzup?"

Shelly - I've never seen Ghostbusters all of the way through. I was traumatized by it as a little kid. We were staying in a hotel room (it was a Knight's Inn - I remember because it had royal purple walls), and my dad was falling asleep to the TV and had it on. I, however, was absolutely NOT falling asleep because of the movie.

But the theme song is fun and upbeat, and I could totally see you singing and dancing to it in the shower.

Blue - only once (when) I was pregnant :)

Nose - I had to actually do it, to find out. It's the right.

Seashepard - My heart would want to, but my head says no. I question the legality of their actions, but I respect that there are people that would risk death or jail to fight for what they believe in. While I completely agree with the cause, I don't think I would risk my own life for it.

Your doggie pic reminded me that I wanted to tell you guys about one of our backup dogs at training. He just got out of quarantine a couple of days ago, and he looks like he's a beagle, chihuahua mix. He's so small (like 16 lbs), but he's sharp as a tack and picked up the training really quickly, so far. He's my 2nd fav.

Andy - I'm currently in GA training to be a K9 officer. CBP uses beagles to sniff out fruits, plants, and meats in passenger baggage and cargo at ports of entry. I've wanted to do it since I started with the agency, and jumped at the chance, even though it meant that I'd have to leave my family for a while The training is 10 weeks long, so I'm in a hotel, which is why I'm here knotting all night.

I have an awesome partner, Keno:

He's a beagle, boxer mix. All of the beagles that we use are rescues from shelters around the country.
