Tide that is awesome.  I am really totally envious.  Once FI becomes an attending I'm really interested in looking for a job where I do something (a) help people and/or (b) work with animals.

10 weeks is a long time - do you get to go home on weekends at all?

    Thank you Sarah :)

Andy - I could, but it's too cost prohibitive.  Flights home are running $300 all summer long.  DH is going to try to drive down here with Taryn a few times, though, since he could rent a car for a week for what I would pay in airfare.

Is Keno keeping you company then?  I mean, besides all of us...

Working definitely keeps my mind off of things.  He stays in the kennels overnight, and will be kenneled when we go back to the port.  You can't have a dog that's trained to find food stay in your house, (the kitchen) because he would never want to go to work.

    The weekends are brutal, though.

I'm super-late to this thread, but I've wondered for a long time, so I'm going to ask away (and if it's too personal, feel free to pretend you never checked back on this thread!): How are things with your H? I recall a rough patch a year or so ago now (God knows, probably longer; my knotting years blend together in memory!) and I've always wondered if things got better. I presume (and hope!) they have, but can you confirm this?

Sun - things are a lot better.  We went to a marriage counselor for a short while, and it helped.  I think the biggest thing is that we both agreed not to throw "divorce" around like a weapon.  If one of us says it, we better mean it.  Also, when we do fight (and it does happen still), neither of us leaves the house - we stay together until we can work it out.

As far as his responsibility issues, he's gotten a lot better since Taryn was born.  He still looses his keys/wallet/shoes/whatever, but not as often.  His phone is usually charged and he's starting to keep up with the house more, too.

It's not there, yet.  But it's coming along.  Thanks for asking :)

[QUOTE]Ohh I see. I thought you meant recently. I would be hesitant to do a threesome for the reason you mentioned. That, and I promised my priest we wouldn't.

You promised your priest you wouldn't have a threesome?  WTF?

[QUOTE]Andy - I'm currently in GA training to be a K9 officer.  CBP uses beagles to sniff out fruits, plants, and meats in passenger baggage and cargo at ports of entry.  I've wanted to do it since I started with the agency, and jumped at the chance, even though it meant that I'd have to leave my family for a while  The training is 10 weeks long, so I'm in a hotel,  which is why I'm here knotting all night. I have an awesome partner, Keno: He's a beagle, boxer mix.  All of the beagles that we use are rescues from shelters around the country.

I am very jealous of your job.  How many weeks into the training are you??

Jasmine.....I'm curious how a threesome even came up with a priest...
