this week has been a box of smashed assholes.
We met with our officiant last night and he's awesome.  Our new couch is being delivered today but I'm at work and so is Dan.  He asked his mom if she could hang out at our house to receive the couch but they're coming two hours earlier than they said originally.  Dan's mom's not home right now (she doesn't have a cell phone), and my parents are at a funeral so it looks like we're not getting our couch today.  Oofah.
We were planning on moving in this weekend but who knows?

Fun fact: the Bare Naked Ladies were not allowed to perform in Nathan Philips Square in Toronto (in front of the city hall) because of a bylaw stating that no acts could perform there that were degrading to women.

Nice roses, missy. As my mom would say, "you're training him well." She says that to me every time H does something nice or unexpected.

I'm having a last-minute panic attack about my book. I have to send everything to the publisher in about 2 hours so I'm freaking out that it's perfect. I can't change it from here. I just need to let go and accept that if I miss something, then I miss something. No big deal.

Thanks guys! The funny thing is (and this has happened to him twice), he arranged to have them sent 2 weeks ago, put the correct date down (today), and what happened? They were delivered LAST Friday. He was pissed. The card says 9/24, but there's a neon green sticker on it saying "today" (meaning 9/17) on it. Poor guy.

It happened to him with a different florist at Valentine's Day, too. He called like 3 weeks in advance, picked a bit of a non-traditional arrangement, and the card said "Yo, Babe" which is sometimes his code for I love you. They came that day, too, even though he asked for delivery the Friday before Valentine's. I got another arrangement then.


Holy hell, the florist just brought in another arrangement - an "apology" arrangement on them. It's gorgeous.

Wow Missy all those beautiful flowers.

Seshat - I am so curious about your book.  What genre do you write?  A friend and I co-authored a mystery about 10 years ago and we shopped it around - no interest.  But it didn't dissuade my interest in writing.  Unfortunately tho, the anti-depressants did.

I am off to see what fresh hell awaits at work this afternoon and evening, and then it's off with H for the minimoon weekend.  We desperately need the alone time.

Ok, he won't let me bring/send him flowers at work, so I had to be creative today.

I just ordered Jimmy Johns to be delivered to him during his break time for lunch/dinner. I'm pretty proud of myself. They are even going to write Happy Birthday on it (I'm assuming the bag)

That appology arrangement is really pretty!  Why can't florists get their acts together?

One of my coworkers gf/common law wife sends him a big basket of candy and toys every year on his birthday.  I like Candy Day. Ooooo, I just realized, Candy Day is soon!
