[QUOTE]Haha. I posted that contract to my bridesmaid blog site and wrote: "Found this online and I would like you guys to download it, sign it, get it notarized and returned to me by tomorrow. Thanks!" If they don't realize that it' a joke then they don't know me very well and they are out of the wedding! Hehe. LOL.

You have a bridesmaid blog site?  What does that mean?

Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
  • Most of my bridesmaid are in different states and don't know eachother. They kept emailing me ideas to pass onto the other girls. I finally created a blog on blogspot and made it so only they could post and see the blog. They've now been posting introductions, their favorite dresses (because they get to pick their own), shoe ideas and questions. It's great and means I don't have to be the only go between.

That is a very good idea. Communication is just huge in event planning of any kind, and as I have said many times plenty of problems could be avoided by having more of it.
  • That's a great idea martian to have a blog that everyone can contribute to!

My BFF has had black hair for years, but before that she died her hair every color imaginable - blue, purple, green, pink, white. She wants to go back to something fun, but since she's in 2 weddings in October she decided to hold off. The key element being that SHE decided to hold off. I didn't tell her to do it. (The other girl who's wedding she's in has known her since age 6, so it would't surprise her either!) I mentioned she could dye her hair bright colors and then dye it back if she wanted to, but she said it would fry her hair and she'll just wait.

In all honesty, I prefer her hair the way it is now for my wedding, mostly because she's had it that way for so long and that's currently how I picture her. But if she showed up with crayola-red hair tomorrow, I wouldn't say a word!

My old coworker had naturally blond hair and died the bottom of her hair red - like the half of her hair underneath if that makes sense, so it peaked through the blonde, and showed if she had her hair up. It didn't look bad. She also used a more natural looking red color.

My parents didn't let me dye my hair when I was in high school (just highlights) but I started dying it in college. And now my mom loves it.

  • If a friend of mine who'd never dyed her hair "non-natural" colors (like pink, green, etc) did it right before my wedding, I'd be annoyed.  Same goes for if she got a mohawk or something.  If it were a dramatic haircut/hairstyle I might ask her to try to make it more conservative for the wedding, but I wouldn't ask her to dye her hair again.  I would be annoyed though and wonder why she couldn't wait until after the wedding.

If, however, this was my friend's everyday look or if she were known for experimenting this way, and I asked her to be in my wedding, it would be ridiculous of me to ask her to change it.
  • That Dear Abby Bridezilla treats her best friend like a prop :O

I miss my pink hair. :( I can only do temporary stuff right now, that washes out with one shampoo. no one will hire a nurse with pink hair.
