The only time i got scared (and barely) during his movies is when the alien walked by in signs, and when the kid got his head blown off it The Happening.  The rest was not scary, nor did it make any kind of sense to me.

Buried though... I dunno.  I'm slightly claustrophobic and just the idea of an entire movie taking place in an underground coffin kinda creeps the shiit outta me.
