-I assault my FI...I'm a hugger

-Id like to think that I can keep a positive attitude even when things are at their suckiest.

-I give in to people a lot.

-Three tats; a big giant lotus on my ankle covering my ex's initials, a spider on my ;eft shoulder, and what used to be the playboy bunny on my left lower pelvis area...but since I had babies, it looks more like a goat now LOL

Reils, it's my favorite book series EVAR. It's historical fiction, and it will consume your life. I promise.

All by Paulina Simons. Book one: The Bronze Horseman. Book two: Tatiana and Alexander. Book three: The Summer Garden.

They've been out of print in the US (I had to order mine from the UK after I read the first one), but the first two are back, and the third is coming out. I'm not sure if it's just a weird copyright thing or what, but I think they're all probably available in Canada.

Also, the second two books have alternate titles - I can't remember what they are off the top of my head, but the titles I put above are the ones they're being released under now.

ETA (again): The first book is most definitely available on the Kindle. Just sayin'  ;-)

Are any of the free books on Amazon any good? I have never looked, I just assumed they'd all be classics or really boring books.

A lot of them are classics, and some are boring. I'm trying to broaden what I read (mostly because of my Goodreads Challenge). They have the Limited section where the books are either really cheap or free.

I work in a hospital, and the book is about BODY SNATCHING ALIENS! that like to dream about getting it on with human men who were intimately involved with their host human before they took the body...

I am not sure I have the patience for the classics. I went through this phase a few years ago where I was going to read a bunch of the classics, I don't think I even made it through the first one.

Katy do you have a Kindle? Even if you don't and you don't mind reading on your computer, or your iPhone (if you have one) you can download the Kindle app for PC or iPhone. That's where we're getting the books.

I enjoyed The Host too. I knew a lot of people who didn't think it was that good, but I thought it was pretty fun. Interesting premise. And I love the descriptions of the aliens.

Con, I have the complete works of Shakespeare in hardcover. I got it from a white elephant Christmas gift exchange one year. Best crappy present ever.

Reils, I had that same phase. I was going to read Bronte and Tolstoy and the whole 9, but Wuthering Heights was just painful for me, and the paper in my Tolstoy was awful (yes, I admit, the paper ruined the book for me. I'm a tactile reader).

CCF - To be fair, I just started it, so I'm not really into the meaty parts yet. I think within the next few days I'll probably be sucked in like no one's business.
