I can't wait until next Saturday. I leave for Athens, GA to see my parents and after 7 years I get to see my grandmother. I think I'll probably cry when I see her since it's been so long.I'm also trying to get adjusted to my future MIL living with us. She is the sweetest woman in the world aside from my mother but she wants to cook all this good food which isn't good for WW. I'm going to have to have a chat with her :-)

David is so clueless sometimes...And he has his own pillow for a REASON! so not to lay on mine and then when I want to use the pillow as a body pillow, I can't because someone's head is on it :-|Ugh my eyes are sooo dry today and it's very annoying! I think I will start doing cardio...sometime...Tonight we finish painting and David finishes clearing out the living room so we can clean it. sooo close to being done!I can't wait to go to the chiro today. It has been a full week since I've had a 'real' adjustment to my back/chest. Friday I had a different chiro and she was too scared to do anything but my neck :/I am SOOOO ready for dance next week!! It has been too long since I've been able to do anything and while I'm still only about 95% with my body we got a SPRUNG FLOOR!!!!!!! woooooooohoooo!!! can't wait to break it in!

I get a new project assignment at work.  I'm a little afraid of what I'm going to be assigned, but mostly I'm just glad to be moving on to something else.  Since they've been staffing people to my current assignment who will replace me, I feel like I've had less to do than normal, and I'm feeling a bit stir crazy.I totally blew my diet yesterday - but it was worth it to have frozen custard.  It's half the reason I moved to Texas (not easily found in DC).

Oh, and more importantly - my mom actually tacitly recognized our marriage!  She sent us our wedding gift from my siblings and addressed the box Mr. and Mrs. LastName and spelled the name correctly for the first time!

Tomorrow I get to go to my Lasik consultation and I can FINALLY put my contacts back in and lose these glasses for a while. I have left over Gloria's fajitas for lunch today but I'm sad I couldn't take a margarita to-go. I'm jealous that Mariah is going to Austin, but I hope you have fun!! That's one of my all time favorite places. :)

The 7B7B review came out this morning and I am REALLY disappointed that Nick's allegedly "beautiful singing voice" got mentioned, and I got something about "compensating well" for awkwardly written scenes and that I had "the most grounded character in the piece."  HARUMPH.

I truly am blessed to have such a nice job, but good gawd is it exhausting. I feel like I've been putting in 60-70 hour work weeks, not including all of the small random stuff I do on the weekends just to get "caught up". I've had 2 staff changes and interviewing is a BEAT DOWN. I expected this when I took my new job in February but I'm ready for the learning curve and changes to be over with so I can focus on my job. DH and I decided to finally break down and hire a housekeeper. We just can't do it all with our long days and we're going stir crazy because our house is so messy. *sigh* I feel a little defeated but I know my career needs more of my attention than my floors do.

-we are back at square one for our honeymoon.  I wasn't approved for all the time off so we aren't going to be able to do what we were going to do.  We are reconsidering New York, Miami or somewhere overseas if it's a good deal.-Go to school for the degree you want even if it takes some extra time due to pre-reqs.  I think it's better to get the degree you want and can use in the field of your choice.-I am starting to get sticker shock again with the wedding and honeymoon!-I hope tomorrow isn't as long as today was.-FI's been acting weird this entire week and I wish he would just tell me what's up but "Nothing's wrong."

I turn 30 one week from today and I don't want to. You don't want to be 30, flirty, and thriving?? :P-I have a 3 month full time contract. I've very happy to be working again. I just hope that after it's up, I have something else lined up.

My husband does not work for the CIA or any other three letter government agency.  He doesn't have the fate of the free world resting on his shoulders.  People don't rely on his job for power or water or essential services.  So why did he get a phone call at 3:30 AM and have to work until a little after 7:00 AM?  I don't know but it was definitely not that much of an emergency (his words not mine) and it wasn't something that couldn't have been fixed when he got in this morning.  However, we both got something out of this:  he gets to telecommute today.  Mandy,That really bites about the review.  The reviewer must not have gone to the show we were at.  Also, he was so awkward and never looked at the people he was talking to, just looked out into the audience.

Thanks guys. I can't believe how long I was unemployed. I exhausted all my unemployment funds. Insane. --I just watched the "Sparkling Wiggles" video. *shakes head* What is wrong with parents? That's just shameful and not funny.

I think I may take this job that is a bit far from home but it is all I can find and honestly the reason why i didn't take it was the pay.  Ive decided it is better than nothing and it is TRULY what I love to do!  So hopefully in a day or so I will of decided.  I am just waiting on a place closer that does the same thing to let me know if they are interested in hiring me. Im jealous of all the vacations!  Sticker shock....does that mean the price????  I am assuming that.  I am sickened by the costs sometimes of planning a wedding...ugh

I am sickened by the costs sometimes of planning a wedding...ughYes, that's what I mean.  Thankfully there's not much else we have to do, big stuff anyways but still.FI is on call 24/7 and yes it does suck.  And the calls are ridiculous.  You'd think some people can press the power button themselves but apparently not.

Congrats Cheryl! I have my first fitting with Becky in exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes.  I'm sort of excited to meet her....it's almost like she is famous or something :)

He said it's one of his new favorite meals :):)-I started reading The Time Traveler's Wife yesterday and I can't put it down!-DH built us a desk we bought from Wal-Mart and it looks great!!! I am so excited to have a real desk instead of a tiny table with papers scattered everywhere.

I will probably get flamed for this...I took my daughter to the circus on Sunday and she loved it!!! She was so interested in all the color, music and everything! She just sat there and waved, clapped, and smiled the whole time. The moment was priceless. My nephews who are 1.5 and 3 were ready to go home within 30 mins. into the show. I am also glad everybody got to go in my family! Besides all the idiot protestors who scared all the kids and even some were crying...we had a great time.

Sarah, I went on Sunday too!!! My little girl loved it too, her father took her last year and as soon as she saw the billboards come out this year its all she talked about. She's 2, so I had to bribe her with the circus.."if you don't listen, I'm not taking you!!" lol

Rachel,PETA has been protesting at all the Dallas shows so far to say that Ringling Bros. mistreats their animals.  Bill took me last year (the first time since probably 1978 that I had gone) and we had a good time.  However, we were watching all the families and were wondering how they could afford the expensive tickets, the food, and souvenirs.  A family of five could easily drop $500.  Recession?  Not at the circus.

Kris - that is too funny! We had to bribe my nephew with swimming! LOL I felt bad for the kids who were scared from them yelling and saying how they beat animals.

Yeah, there were a bunch of protestors out there. I wonder if they convinced anyone not to go in.
