Stephie, I say this all the time, but I seriously miss when facebook was simple.  There weren't status updates and a million applications.  You had your profile/wall, your pictures, and that was it.What exactly are "floaters"?  I get them, too..but what causes them?

Emily,I don't know what they're actually made of but it actually floats in your eyeball and disrupts your vision.Allison, My dad's eyesight is so bad that the doctor did it a couple of weeks after it was diagnosed.  He had a couple in each eye if I remember correctly.  They did one eye one day and did the other later.

I've had floaters for years because I have terrible eyesight. I'm used to them but yeah, when I get a new one, it's annoying.Wow, okay well hmmm. I really thought he told me they'd go away.I don't know how to describe them except for they blur a teensy tiny part of your vision. Like really small. I can still read and see fine and everything. For example, when sitting in my desk looking at the computer, the floater is about as big as an "o." If you were to look at my eye though, you can't see it. It always stays in the same spot on my eye and travels when I look elsewhere. My doctor told me they are caused by stress. He also told me I was young to be having them. (I got mine at the end of the school semester right before the wedding... talk about stress!)

Allison, no, they don't go away, you just get used to them and don't notice them anymore.

Just talked to my mom.  She said that my dad has had the laser thing done two-three times.

Mariah, LOL!  I never knew FB wasn't always like this.  I mean all the virtual hugs, surveys, newsfeed, etc., I mean, come on--WHO has time for this?  I'm sure I can go the rest of my life without knowing which 2009 song best represents me.  It's too much.

Stephie - you can block all 'requests' for applications. It's a setting I am pretty sure.

I ate shrimp for dinner last night. Within 2 hours my entire face, head, and neck, along with most of my back, and some spots on my stomach, arms and legs, were covered in hives. I couldn't even recognize myself in the mirror. 12 hours later (and lots of Benedryl) the swelling was gone. I am left with a sore throat. Seriously, I love shrimp and other shellfish! I don't want to suddenly be allergic to it!!! **cry**

Nae, that sucks!  I recently developed an allergy to some sorts of shellfish (right now most sensitive to scallops and crab) which totally sucks!  I threw up part of my 13-course chef's seafood tasting menu dinner @ The Mansion on the night of my engagement, and that's how we started realizing that my queasiness may be an allergy.I love seafood though.  When I see giant scallops on menus now, I still debate whether the taste is worth having queasiness for the next 48 hours...

I wish FB still required you to have a college email to sign up.  That's when it was at it's best.  It's turned into a huge mess like MySpace has, and there are too many kids on there.  Like I was searching for people in my HS the other day and all of these kids kept popping up for the class of 2010!  Why are you guys on facebook, you still see each other everyday in class!  I joined FB to keep in touch with people I went to HS and college with, and who I don't get to see anymore.

My little brother is 10. He is on Facebook.   I am glad though, given the circumstances.

I don't do FB because so many of my students are on there.  They have enough access to me as it is.

I think you have to be 14. All it takes is a fake year of birth...

I didn't get to knot all day today because I was in a day long meeting. This dad dragged tremendously. I have been shopping craigslist to see what random wedding things I can get my hands on and well some of that stuff is just awful.... if it was up to me I would burn it... lol
