Blue, I'm glad Gia's doing just fine. You did the right thing. Maggie had 6 or so different surgeries, until we decided it was too risky to put her under anesthesia.


September, if you haven't done this yet, make a box with some things of your cat's to keep.
And order the book For Every Cat An Angel. I had placed the dog version in my Amazon cart to get for my aunt 2 years ago, and last month I went back in to order a book - and there it was. I loved it, and cried and cried.

My box has Maggie's collar, leash, a few toys, and blankets, and her Christmas stocking in it. I also saved the cover of the bed she'd been sleeping in forever (Max tore up the foam). The box is in the subbasement, along with her ashes, since it is tornado season. Once it isn't, they'll come back into my closet. When my dad retires, he is going to make her a special box.
Her nametag is on my keyring.
