• I am very confrontational. Some of it comes with my job, but I am not one to back down from much. Being I am very small this is not always a good thing. My fiance is also confrontational so we are sometimes quite the pair. I have occasionally put myself in really dumb sitiation due to my temper with idiots but I am well protected (conceal carry permit holder) as I get older I am getting better. I just hate 1. seeing people get taking advantage of and 2. people (Esp on hte road) act like complete idiots.

[QUOTE]Wally, I can't blame you at all though. Several years ago I had a neighbor that liked to shoot birds in his backyard which regularly ended up in my backyard and I went rounds with him - worst being after he shot one off my patio roof. He came to my house the next day wearing a gun, told me he knew I lived alone and that he and his cop buddies had ideas how I could be dealt with. Of course I called the police but that incident stopped me from opening my mouth for years. I still rarely confront anyone and when I do I try to not be a lunatic about it (I might have told that neighbor to take his smalldicked redneck games elsewhere) but sometimes you just have to speak up.

Holy cripes, Girlie! Did the police DO anything about it? I mean, isn't it illegal to discharge a fire arm in a residential area? It is here. Yikes.

  • Wally, because he was using a pellet gun it's not considered a fire arm so technically the redneck games were legal. I forget what they called the report that they filed but basically it was a record of a previous incident and it would pull up automatically if I had to call the non-emergency number or 911 again.

  • I don't usually say anything if it's someone i have to have regular contact with. I do give a lot of dirty looks to strangers, though. The other day, my guy and I went out to lunch and he held the door for me, and three ladies who walked in after us. NONE of them said thank you to him! I was so angry (I can't tolerate rudeness) that I shouted "THANK YOU!" over their heads with a huge grin on my face and waved to him. The last lady through the door looked around startled like she didn't realize he had held the door for her in the first place. WHat did she think, he was standing there for fun? UGH.
  • I'm not the type of person to say something unless the incident involves children or some sort of escalating domestic situation. Otherwise I'll just take a deep breath and let it go.
