This is a picture text I just got from my ("step daughter' age 15) who is holding a baby with her fist out and the text says white power at the top. I am pretty shocked! I guess her mom is teaching her how to be a racist? What should I do? Does she even understand the context of the meaning of white power?

Seriously, my niece is biracial so I am pretty offended. She has referenced gays as fags before too.

I have no idea because I don't say racist things. I have been know to tell people they sound fucking uneducated when they do.

I don't know what to do without hurting her feelings. She already has a messed up sense of self worth.

It is Mar. Her mom has been married twice since Ricky and I have been together (5 yrs) and she is getting married again and moving away.

Oh Ricks thats awful for her and you.  I'm glad your H will be talking to her.  We had a recent issue with one of FI's cousins using the N word at family functions.  I was so shocked it took me a bit to respond.  Then he got a piece of my mind.  I also informed the entire family if they didn't get cousin to control his foul mouth and ideas my kids wouldn't be anywhere near the family.

Ha sorry. The girl who sent me the text is our step daughter (in a way) We take custody of her if her mom dies. She is Ricky's Ex GF.

My niece is 3 and biracial and this girls knows I have a biracial niece.

Then take out the bi-racial part of my previous statement. I really hope she isn't falling in with that kind of crowd.

I just can't understand the logic behind racism. No one can control where they are born or who their parents are. Just as this girl can't control the actions of her father, people can't control what race they are.
