There's a similar post over on E, but anyone who keeps up with football- college or pro- favorite teams? Why? Teams you hate?

I don't necessarily hate the Cowboys, but I cannot stand Tony Romo.  Seriously, every day since mini camp has started, the news will not stop talking about him.  Did anyone know Tony Romo had a stomach virus?  I did, because the news talked about it. 

Also, he looks like a douchebag when he wears berets.

FI has season tickets to the Patriots so I get stuck having to watch them on sundays when they are away.

Football is ok.  I prefer the Bruins games.  But I wouldnt call myself a fan of any sport.

MEEE!!!! I can't wait for football season!

We keep up with the whole SEC, but especially LSU. I have to keep up with UT (TX) because they are right here in my face. We also keep up with FSU for FI. 

NFL, usually just the Saints, sometimes the Texans.. never the Cowboys. THey make me want to puke.

I am a HUGE Eagles fan!  I have since birth pretty much, family has had season tix since 1985.  Now that I live in Indianapolis & DH is from Indiana I have become a Colts fan through marriage I guess you could say.

I absolutely hate the Cowboys, its one of those divisional stories.

I LOVE football, I'm so excited that it's finally here!

My fav college team is OSU, went to college in Columbus, so it was a must to become a fan.

Fav Pro team....Da Browns.  FI is a huge Bengals fan, so it's a lot of fun around our house during those games.  We're actually coming to Indy in November for the Colts v Bengals game.  By default I have to root for the Colts that day.

I've got just about 3 weeks til LSU's kickoff, and I believe we're playing Heels alma mater My parents raised me to be an LSU fan, and it's also where I went to school, although I didn't finish. So I love them for obvious reasons. They're probably going to have a rough season this year, but that's ok. Also, FI proposed while we were tailgating for an LSU game. I hate USC. More than I can tell you.

And the Saints. Given my close proximity to New Orleans, it's hard for me to not get emotionally invested in them, even though I don't really follow pro football. I generally like college football better.

Although I'm sure some people would say that about the QB I like, Peyton Manning. I am a die-hard Colts fan, have been even before they were good. I like <em>most</em> of those players because they stay out of the news and spotlight. They seem to be family people.

The only team I always root for is the Gators. I was born in Gainesville, lived there for a bit, and a lot of family members went to UF. We've always been a Gator family, and one that hates FSU. I was actually born on a Tennessee-Gator game and we won. My grandparents went to the game, then ran over to the hospital just before I was born.

For college, people give me crap about not supporting the Jags since they're our team. But come on. They suck.

Ha! I forgot to say that we also hate the Bulldogs and Tennessee. Have you ever been to a Jags game? I went to a couple because someone gave us tickets. The last one was against the Packers and we won.

There was a drunk guy, Jags fan, insulting Packer fans the entire time, but in a fun way. When we won, he screamed over and over again, "We won! I can't believe we won! It's never happened before!"

FI and I are huge Jets fans.  I actually used to work for them.  I hate hate hate those damn cheating Patriots and Tom Brady.  College teams-FI is a huge FL. State fan so I route for them too!

Well the DH is a die hard Raiders fan, has been since he was little. Don't ask me why, and of course he has to watch OSU.

He goes to the Hall of Fame game and induction every year,which is my sign that I will soon be a football widow. No I do not like sports, by I will watch them for him.And we did see the Raiders play KC in Oakland a few years ago. That was very interesting to say the least.

Yeah, this is a good, fairly truthful generalization. I remember being at a Colts/Pats game several years ago, and there were some drunk guys from both sides behind us. It got nasty, first with the name-calling, then escalating to beer throwing and punching. Of course, everyone around us cheered on the Colts fan, but it was bad. 
Oh god, I so desperately want to tailgate now. I need a beer!

Nada to either.  We watched the Vikes last season, but I absolutely loathe Brett Favre.

I don't watch college football, either... probably because the U of MN is ranked 11th for the Big 10 every year

Ha ha ha!  No I haven't been to a Jags game, though been in the stadium many many times for FL/GA.  My BIL and SIL live in Jax and they said that all the Jags games are blacked out for them because they are hoping to sell more tickets to the games rather than people watching at home... pretty sad when that starts happening lol

I think we are going to a Sunday night game, might be the Chargers game.  It kind of sucks the Colts are so good because most of their games are Sunday nights or Monday nights....it makes for a very long next morning!

I also love the Colts. The whole family's from Indiana, and Peyton was a Tennessee alum.

Hate: Gators, Bama, UGA, and I LOATHE the Patriots. The only good thing about being a Colts fan in Boston is that everyone loves to hate them, so the games always get air time here.

Yeah it was far from packed when I got there. I think there were more Packer fans than Jags, kind of sad.

However, I'm betting it will be a full house when the Broncos come to town. We have a huge Gator following so I'm sure people will be hoping for a glimpse of Tebow. I wouldn't mind going to that game.

That kid makes me want to gouge my fucking eyes out. Don't use your celebrity as a superstar football player to spread your religious message. Instead, do it because you really care about the message. I feel like that ad during the Superbowl was only given airtime because he was in it. It's fine that they want to air the ad, but come on, use real, down to earth people.

I think that people always hate teams that do well.  I dont have a dog in this fight because I dont like sports, but FI hates all the other good teams too.  Especially that Manning guy.  And obviously he hates the Yankees.  And the Canadian hockey teams.  Basically any team that can beat his teams.
