Blue Buffalo Recall

Just got this alert from my vet.  I know people here feed BB so I wanted to pass it on.

Well, crap.  I don't see the product we use on that list (puppy formula), but it still makes me leery that the brand has recalled.

I saw this when they first recalled. We feed our pup the longevity puppy formula. I wouldn't worry too much Steph. BB has a great reputation, and instead of letting this go they're doing the right thing and recalling the food. It really is the best stuff you can get in pet stores and it's one of the few dog foods w/o wheat, corn or soy so I can't switch my corgi or she'll become a piglet lol. I'm chalking it up to an isolated incident and not going to worry about it

We'll still use BB as well.  I agree that they recalled as a precaution, which I find reassuring.  None of the dogs had any long-term consequences as their vitamin D levels returned to normal when pulled off the recalled food.

God yes Missy. I'm ecstatic that Katie is up and mobile again, but she's wearing me out!

Steph, brands have recalls all the time. Most of the time the product recalled never even hits the shelf. Most of them are caught in the testing phase where something is just slightly off but they pull it to be safe.
