I shityounot :)  I know the newer models of Malibus have been ramped up in the area of efficiency,  but I had no idea that older models were such pieces of shite.  I'm sure they still get better mileage than my '78 Dodge did though, lol

Yeah! He was a leap year baby, so only 2 days apart.

He drove me nuts at first, but now we've bonded. He's momma's baby.

  • I like the height of the Malibu -my damned Saturn is so effing low that I scratch it all the time.
  • Aw thats awesome! My pup is a chesapeake but that is so fun that they were born so close together. :) Willow has finally started to bond too -- its funny how they get to that point where they start actively looking for you to cuddle, etc. :)

  • Holy Heaven above. J needed me to log into his email to check something for him. He has 4,662 unread emails. He just NEVER deletes anything from his inbox and never reads all of the daily spam crap he gets. I might have a stroke just looking at it.

  • LOL musu.  I have over 5,000 unread emails and 1,000 read ones.  Tee hee.

  • I couldn't do it, AATB. I'm like Ranchy. I delete things the second that I can, and have like 10 folders for various types of email that I want to save. I hate seeing it cluttere.d

That said, I DGAF about clutter in our house and J gets twitchy about anything left on the counter or tables. GO figure.

  • Hey ladies!

As far as cars go, I'm not getting a new one anytime soon.  I just spent almost $800 dollars getting new wheels (rims, tires, etc) put on my car, a 2006 Pontiac Vibe.  I'm loving the gas mileage on my car though.  On long trips, I can easily get 30 miles to the gallon.  When I do get one, I'm probably gonna get a smaller SUV.  Haven't decided yet though because it's still gonna be a couple of years.

Every so often I go through my email and look at the random spam emails I get and unsubscribe to whatever it was I signed up for.  My emails also get forwarded to my iPhone and it unnerves me to see that I have 100+ unread emails, even if 1/2 of them are spam.

  • If I was deleting emails right when I got them... well.  I couldn't ever not be on email.  I get tons and tons of emails a day and most of them are just pure garbage.  I just scan my inbox for names I recognize as co-workers and sources and every couple of months I'll go back and delete a couple thousand or so.

Our network has a ridiculous amount of storage or something.  I think one guy has over 22 thousand emails.

  • I don't get smart cars. I mean, I understand the reason they exist but I don't get them. I would be so damn uncomfortable driving one.

Yeah this is what I've been enjoying as well. My H was shocked I cried when we dropped him off for a few hours. He was scared.

  • J has gmail so it only says its using up "3%" of storage but still. I couldn't do it. I don't know why it really bothers me. I just texted him asking if I could make it my project to organize his email and he said sure, lol. Hurrah!

  • Ugh I'm reminded, I am buying new tires at my next oil change.  Another thousand-ish or so miles.  Barf.  But I'm pretty sure those are still factory tires.  I need new ones.

<div>They aren't very safe either.  FI has seen pictures in his EMT/Firefighter classes of what happens when one of those hits an 18 wheeler.  It's not pretty.  </div><div>

<div>My tires were the factory original tires (except one of them).  I had a gash in the sidewall on one of them and then the other three had cracks in the treads.  I've had my Vibe going on six years, and I've replaced one of the tires because something happened to it and it wasn't repairable. </div><div>

  • Afternoon! I am all official with my name change so now I'm going to hang out while H goes to the gym. He took last week off and can't wait to go. He came in looking all sad a few minutes ago because he took his ring off for the first time. I laughed. Aatb I have a Cruze and it's amazing. I love it. I have put 25,000 miles on it since last July. I'm in it constantly and wouldn't change a thing.

  • I'm being bad and having chicken strips & fries from Jack in the Box.   I line-checked a 3000+ line spreadsheet against a database between Friday & this morning though so I say I deserve it.  And tomorrow morning I'm doing a DWTS  (shush!) work out video for the first time.

  • Lunch for me today was leftover grilled ham steak with nectarine salsa. It's a Weight Watchers recipe. Weight Watchers rules.

    I don't have a super-exciting car. I drive a Yaris sedan. But it's cute, and it's a pretty mint green color..

  • Yeah I already feel unsafe in my shitty boxcar, I can only imagine how scared I'd be in a smartcar. Not to mention it does not jive with my lifestyle or climate at all. Can you even drive those in blizzards? lol.

  • Oh really Brandi???  Ahhh I hate you ;)

For real though, I hope I get to have one someday.  I think they are so bitchin looking and economical to boot.  Perhaps I should make more money, lol.  I have all these things that I want...

  • Haha I hear you, AATB. I dream about the day when I can do things besides pay basic bills. Literally my "luxury" spending is when I buy ice cream or some cookies. lol.

Is your Malibu lien free? You'd be surprised how inexpensive you can get one! I actually had a Malibu before also and while I liked it, this really is great. I can't wait until they allow an add on of remote start. My dad works for Chevy so I will get it done with no labor fee so I got the lower model to save money.

  • I'm not looking forward to getting new tires either.

Mine have held up well, but I've leased most my vehicles, so I always have a new car every few years. I hate getting a huge bill for tires!

  • Girlie, my mom and sisters and I had the most HILARIOUS experience on a road trip one time, at a Jack-in-the-Box.

We were in AZ and had been driving for several days.  I think I was a sophomore in college.  We were driving to Cali for Christmas - all six of us, and it was taking a long ass time.  We had another day left of driving.  Anyway, stopped at Jack-in-the-Box for lunch and the lady taking our order looked something like this:

She also had the scariest voice ever.  She was YELLING at the top of her lungs to everyone, even the customers, "WELCOME TO JACK IN THE BOX" in this really gruff, 3-packs-of-cigs-a-day growl.  When we got up to her till my dad ordered a large fry and she went on and on about how 'HUNGRY HUNGRY MAN" my dad was.  My mom and sisters and I were all laughing so hard we thought we would die.  I had tears streaming down my face, I couldn't even order my food.

So after dinner we went to the bathroom for a pit-stop before getting back on the road.  Someone had unraveled ALL the toilet paper in the three-stall bathroom and had strewn it everywhere all over everything, the most of it was piled high right in the middle of the floor.  We thought we had the giggles before, omg.  I think we laughed non-stop for the next hour and saying 'WELCOME TO JACK IN THE BOX' in our best scary lady voice.
