Re: Another Baby Post

  • T surprisingly liked Greyson, I think its unusual but not weird.
Besides, we have "Harper" to compete with and thats an awesome name imo.

  • Fi's initials are PMS... wa wahhhh

We will not be doing that to our children :-)
    Photobucket
  • I really loved the names Brady, Brody and Grady buuuut those are all out now haha.
  • I feel like any kid named Harper will be a total badass. Like, she'd grow up to be a private detective and wear red lipstick.

Another one I love- Seraphina (little angel)

I love love love Harper.  It'll be hard when we have a girl to pick between Harper and Honor since they are our first choices.  I also love Harlow.....FI not a fan of that.

I always wanted an Isabella but I don;t want to use it since it's so darn popular.

  • One of my favorites books has a main character named Noah which is where I got it from. I just think it's beautiful for a girl. Also a bit ironic that it's biblical since I'm not Christian and my name means "Annointed in Christ".

Do you guys have lists of names that your kid cannot be named? Mine was just ex's but now I'm adding the little shiits at school and it's getting to be really long.

<div>One of my sister's best friends is names Honora. When I was little, I was convinced that her name was Honor Roll. I wanted a pretty name like that because everyone wanted to be on Honor Roll. Anyway, she is a lovely person with a really unique name that is not hard to pronounce. </div>

Yup. Travis, Daniel, Sarah, Sherry (ugh, seriously Dh? Sherry?), Joe (which sucks because that was my favorite name ever, Joseph Allen), Katie (because it's our dogs name), Brody (little fvcker at work), Andrew, Paula, Claudia, and the list goes on and on ...

=)  I like Honora as well.....but Fi prefers Honor.  I love nice stories about normal kids with awesome names.

  • Absolutely not list- Damien and Gage, because of scary horror flicks

Oh, I also love the name Prynne, but I wouldn't do that to a child.

  • My Ex's are: Kendall, Bran (yes, like the muffin. Short for Branlund, uh huh) annnd thats it.

I pretty much just hate any "ayden" names.
  • My Mom was in to "interesting" names. My little brother is named River.

<div>We have lots that aren't making the list. I love using historic and family names, but below are a list we are avoiding:</div><div>Razvan</div><div>Ion</div><div>Delvina (my Grandmother, but I will not have my child called Velveeta the rest of her life)</div><div>Dorothy (too many on my mom's side)</div><div>Barbara</div><div>Virginia (too many on my mom's side)</div><div>Martin (my dad would kill me)</div><div>Eldridge</div><div>
    </div><div>
</div><div>However, I do love names from my great grandparents:</div><div>Celestine</div><div>Josephine</div><div>Joseph</div><div>James</div><div>William</div><div>Caroline</div><div>
</div><div>I could also incorporate some family last names into middle names:</div><div>Daigle</div><div>Cooke</div><div>Jeanise</div><div>Baldwin</div><div>Richard</div><div>
    </div>

  • Hm. I'd say no to Kyle, and that's about it.

There are other names that make me cringe, thanks to evil childhood classmates, but I can't think of any right now.
  • Sarah- Daigle is one of my bff's last names :)

We hate all our family names. The only one I wouldn't mind is T's oldest sisters maiden name "Foley"
  • One of my great grandmothers names was Delia which I love. I also would love to use Lia as either a first name or middle (pronounced Lee-ah).

The other relatives are Grace, Faith, Mary (sensing a theme?), Florence.
Guys are Buzz (Sheridan), Joseph, Frank, Roger

All of the guys have the same middle name, Allen, and same last name. My great grandfather had to go through his life with the initials F.A.G. My dad is RAG, grandpa SAG.
  • oddly enough, all my ex guys had J names.

So no John, James, Jeremy, Joshua or Jonah

I don't have any boy names picked out at all and i can't share my girl name since the last 3 times I did that i ended up with a niece, goddaughter, and a neighbor with my choice names.

I can't risk it again with this name but am relieved that none of you suggested it.  I do like Helene for the middle name though since it was my grandmother's name.
  • Oh! We also love, love Isla but we're afraid it would confuse people?
  • Girl names:
    Lily Grace
    Chloe Lynn

    Boy names:
    David Tucker
    Hunter Lee

    Would you pronounce it "eye-la"?
