  • Thanks, Betrothed. I figured the same thing. Honestly, once I turn away from the computer I don't think much about what people have written on here unless it was great advice or a nice compliment. Those stick with me. :)

I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I've been picked on a few times, but none that stick out in my mind that I can pinpoint.  Typed words don't bother me enough to remember specifics.

It took me awhile to figure this out.  At first I thought that everyone was just ignoring everything I said because they thought I was stupid.

The only mean thing anyone has said to me was one person on an international board who asked "Why should we care about this?" when I posted something that was admittedly stupid and irrelevant.  I got off pretty easy, in hindsight.

  • I've been called an "ugly lesbian" by JessnGiff ver 1.0 (which mostly bothered me because of the hate-speech aspect of it), pathetic, stupid, annoying (all by P2 ver. 1.0), and I've been told that I look like a man (some new poster).

I called somebody a "'spiteful brat" for calling someone (don't remember who) a fat, pathetic person for having a high post count. I think it was a month ago or so.

Not so much.  You started spouting off "Its stupid to wait till your in your 30's to have kids blah blah blah"  and then went off about how you are so smart that you have access to all these medical article sites that the rest of us would have to pay for.

I was bitchy to you because you came off pretty high and mighty.  Im pretty sure thats when you called me stupid and then shut up when I told you I had 2 degrees but didnt feel it necessary to brag about them.

Im also pretty sure I wasnt the only one who had a problem with that whole post of yours.

But who knows, maybe that wasnt you.

**EDIT**  Im not trying to rehash this argument.  I just remember the whole thing differently and dont think I was the one who ended up butthurt afterwards.

Actually my original post merely stated how I didn't think it was smart if you wanted numerous children (like 3 or 4), like myself, to wait till mid to late 30s to start.  It was more of a comment on how I was approaching my fertility and TTC.  I then stated scientific facts.  Someone wanted links to the articles and I merely stated I'd be happy to provide the article sources or they could just look at websites I had.  It was an effort to get people information in whatever format they wanted.  I don't find it helpful to give sources that people cannot access due to having to pay.  You just got weird.

Oh ya.  And you refered to children with down syndrome as "downsies."  Totally offensive especially to someone with a relative with down syndrome.  I never cared that you had 2 degrees (whooped do) I cared that you made it clear you thought it was stupid and pointless to go into debt for higher education.

This isn't trying to be a rehash but we're talking about people (and you wanted names) of individuals who have been mean or offensive.  I remember you as saying some of the most offensive things to me and then taking anything I did out of context.

Since I have never heard that in my life, that is completly untrue.

The rest of what you wrote is fine.  If that is your recollection of it, then whatever.  But as someone who is going to have 3-4 children in her 30's, I didnt appreciate your input on my fertility.  Thats all.  And like I said, I wasnt the only one who felt that way.

I think you were upset because your post turned into a flame.  Thats why you remember it.  I do remember getting into it with you because I was offended at what you said.  And so were alot of other people.

My avatar used to be a closeup of my eyes. When the knot when bonkers with the avatars I was too lazy to go find it again, even though I should do something about my avatar...

But as someone who was 1) never skinny 2) never considered myself to be a "pretty girl" and 3) has a mother who doesn't even think I'm that pretty, I definitely looked closely at my avatar and then got kind of self conscious that other people thought that way.

The thing that blows is that it was totally someone's AE because this person clearly had certain targets (E regs) and a laundry list of insults made up. I can't remember ever seeing that poster again and of course no one ever fessed up. So I know I shouldn't take something a coward said seriously.
