[QUOTE]Well since everyone seems to be stuck on the age thing, I am looking at my parents example of marriage. My mom was 19 when she got married and they were happily married, until death did them part. And I never said I'm still living at home. I'm living in my town on my own.

Honestly, I think nowadays everyone is expected to go to college. But it really isn't for everyone in the classical sense- if I had it to do over, I would have done college differently. I still would have done it but just differently. College was hell in a lot of ways for me and I started my adult life in debt because of the loans I took out. It's good to have an education but everyone doesn't have to do the four-year university stint. I think trade school is fantastic and community college is affordable and everyone takes the same tests when it comes to certifications and the like. If you aren't ready for college then don't go until you are. Simple as that.

And frankly, I know someone who is going to be moving to Hawaii for work for a year and she is nervous as hell about it. She's 35 and has moved before but y'know moving from the continental US to an isolated island is a BIG jump; OP lives in Alaska and I think moving to Colorado is a pretty huge leap for a teenager. I don't envy her having had that choice to make, it's a pretty enormous cultural change to wrap one's head around. So I don't see her being unsure to leave the state as a sign of immaturity because she does live alone and support herself.

OP, take your time to think about school and marriage but in the end, it's going to be your decision. If it turns out to be a mistake, with either one of those, it's your mistake to make and a bunch of internet strangers should have little to no effect on what you ultimately decide. Good luck!
