Good Morning!

Re: Good Morning!

  • Good Morning!  My weekend was pretty successful.

I went to the mall to get my sister's Christmas present engraved and also replaced my cell phone since it was acting wonky and still under warranty.  I got a super-pretty Christmas tree star at Hobby Lobby and also picked up a big roll of ribbon.  Ate a pumpkin pie blizzard at DQ.  Found a $30 tropical plant on sale at Lowe's for only $2.50.  Love it!

This week is cleaning/reorganizing week.  I've got to get the house "guest-ready" and rearrange the furniture so I don't have to do it when we bring the christmas tree home.

  • 2 months . . . I can hardly believe it.  I need to get a move on.

  • Happy anniversary, MFJ!
2 months, indeed.  I need to get moving, especially since we discussed hosting our friend's graduation party the weekend before Christmas (their apartment clubhouse won't allow alcohol, and we don't want to pretend it's the prom and drink in our cars).  I'd love to host the party, and it would mean extra decorating, which makes me happy.

I know!  Word has it that we're only 20 days out from the first shipment of live christmas trees arriving at Lowe's.

The day after Thanksgiving I have a long-standing date with a Christmas tree in the tent outside of Lowe's ;-).

And jcbsjr, almost everything is done! I have to go to Kinkos to get the seating chart poster printed and the wedding tree poster printed. Other than that, my amazing BMs have offered to come help make the caramel apple favors on Wednesday.  Should be interesting ha ha

We go up to this place every year on Thanksgiving morning and cut our tree.  They have free hot cider while you wait.  We're going to bring the pups and do our Christmas card photo up there this year.

  • I had to tell John over the weekend I just didn't think there was time between now and Thanksgiving for the two of us to get the house in "hosting shape" and for me to pull together a full Thanksgiving dinner to have his family over in half the weekends between now and T'giving. If they can't understand (i.e., his aunt) we're going not so much for the holiday but for my grandmother's 90th birthday party my uncle is throwing and the entire family (not just my immediate) is coming for, well......

He says he's fine with it. We'll be here on Christmas Eve to open gifts with his family. We don't leave until Christmas day to go down to Texas and then out to Phoenix (hopefully).

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew

Love it!  I wish we had one out here that was decent.  The couple within driving distance just haven't done it for me.

Cory still doesn't understand all that goes into getting the house guest-ready.  It's just magically clean and ship-shape.   :)
  • Supposedly Martha Stewart also gets her tree from Christmas Corner.

  • This post just made me sad. J has allergies so we don't get a real tree. Ever. :(
