  • Andplusalso, there are ways to respectfully do things.

Maybe coming back and saying, "hey guys, been a long couple months but I've been doing x, y and z and things are going really well lately I just needed a little break".  Instead of "HI" and hoping people figure out who you are.  It's the second time she returned like that.  Same exact fashion.

Last year I got 2 personal days during the school year.  I only used 1 and that was when my sister graduated from college since the ceremony was on a Friday. When my grandpa died I was able to use 3 sick days as bereavement which was nice.

Steph, I absolutely think teachers SHOULD get vacation time.  I just didn't think that most DID for some reason.  Stupid assumption on my part.

He's thankfully doing a lot better though now that he's gotten fluids/medicines switched around (that were causing him to be so weak).  Both he and the doctors are confident he still has some time left, so I felt okay to take the day off.  Not to mention, like I said before, I didn't realize until yesterday after school that I was entitled to a day off for his funeral whether I have it saved up or not.  So it didn't matter if I took the day off today.

Yep. Lesson learned.  When in dobut, read past threads, don't bring it up in a new one.  Don't bring anything questionable up unless that person has brought it up first even if I'm doing it out of care and not nosyness.. Like I said before, my apologies to Blue if asking about her potential appointment later today was hurtful to her.

Pretty sure.  People were referencing it.  I never saw her say it, but I also don't read everything she writes because it's littered with text speak.

Wasn't she the one that said she had a learning disability and that's why she has a hard time typing?

  • Ok, I have a G of sorts to A.  Is clinking glasses to get the bride and groom to make out really a thing?  I just read a post on E where the B and G were asking people to donate to a charity and ring a bell instead of clinking glasses and the B and G would kiss for each donation.  I find this....disturbing either way.  I'm not expected to perfom a make out session with H every time a guest demands it am I?  That reaches a little into p0rn territory in my opinion.

You've never been to a wedding where that's happened?  Yeah it's a thing!  It's pretty dumb, but it's fun sometimes.  We didn't have many glasses at our reception - yay plastic cups, lol - that donate to a charity thing is pretty stupid though.  FFS.

I'm guessing it's a regional thing?  I'm not sure though
It's very common here.  I've never been to a wedding where people don't clink.  Some people have fun with it though and do a "copycat" thing (we'll do what you do), others will require you to answer a trivia question about the B&G before they'll kiss.  I'd hardly call it porn however.  It's not usually a makeout session.  Often it's just a sweet peck.  Depends on the B&G though I guess.
