Confessions, Perhaps?

I am kind of glad I haven't gotten a job yet because I suspect my academic performance would go down the tubes if I do. I'm so sick of school. 20 consecutive years is enough.

Re: Confessions, Perhaps?

  • I've eaten out for lunch everyday this week. We've also had dinner out every night this week, but one. We weren't busy or stressed, we just didn't feel like cooking.

We are having an open house Sunday. My mother offered to come clean my house on Saturday. I think I might take her up on that offer, I just don't want to clean anymore.
  • I confess that my fiance is being a complete brat. He was whining to me last night about how many gifts hadn't yet been bought off our registries.

Yeah. I had fun with that one.

  • I wish I had something to confess, but I've been pretty good lately.

I made soup this weekend and it was a big pot. A normal person would probably have frozen some. Instead, it's been in the fridge all week so I can focus on homework and not cook.

  • I confess that I was secretly gleeful when my friend showed up to dress shopping yesterday, not because it was a nice thing for her to do (which it was), but because she was very vocal about complaining about my engagement (in a woe is my, God wants me to kill myself way--immediately after we broke the news). I was evil and secrely happy that I got to try on beautiful dresses and she had to watch.

Then I felt immense guilt because she was so sweet and back to her normal self. I am a monster bitch.

Well at first, I tried to talk him down and tell him that lots of people just probably haven't gotten gifts yet, so more will be bought soon. Then he was whiny about how his sister had asked him who our favorite Twins players were so she could get us gifts (presumably Twins gear) and he was flustered because she wasn't buying off the registry. Then I had to hand it to him that the registry is more like a list of suggestions and NOT things we are demanding. I still don't think he gets it.

Can I confess that I haven't been to the grocery store for two weeks and I've been downing water every day for breakfast? It doesn't do much for me, as you could imagine. I want to eat my arm.

hahahah this is so something I would do.

I confess I told my boss on my co-worker yesterday. Yup. Tattled. I hate this coworker and I knew they would get in trouble for what they did (discussing payroll information when it was not their job to do so). This co worker pisses me off and is a nasty person in general. I hope she goes down in flames.
  • Ok I have a confession, but please dont judge me I didnt put 2 and 2 together till after the fact....here goes.

My DH was Secretgroom62! I didnt figure it out till he deleted his account, and when I confronted him he told me we are mean gilrs and he will definantly not do that again. He got curious about what I do all day! I told him if he had approached it differently then he would have been better received like Vegas. He just didnt get it.

I talked till I was blue in the face, trying to make him understand.

  • Oh no! Mr. KD hates us now.

I told FI a story about something that happened here (I forget what it even was now) and he said we were so mean. Then he admitted he read either a TKPS or TNPS post where the husband called his wife out for being mean on the internet and half-jokingly said that should be for me, too. I think he's somewhat serious :P.
  • hahahaha go Mr. KD!! That is awesome.

I was so busy at work that day I wasnt really paying attention, but dmiller mentioned the NE Ohio, but married in SC. And then when I went to the bio and saw our wedding date it clicked.

So I waited till he came home and I just asked him what he had been up to all day.

He knew I would figure it out, but my god the look on his face.

  • I also want to re-read that thread now.
  • That is awesome, KD. I think my H is scared by some of the stories I tell him about this place. He's like, "Are you talking to your wedding friends?" "Yeah." "I'm going upstairs, those ladies are harsh sometimes."

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

This is the best confession thread evarrr.

  • Well he also said the thread title was more a curiosity about what your SO does for you that makes you happy (not dirty at all). He has a very curious nature, which is a bad combination when he's on a conference call, obviously.
