Snarky Brides

I thought all the *meanies* would like this...

I came across this "petition" on a different website from a year ago and I giggled to myself...

----------------

I'm making a legal lawsuit against TheKnot.com and the juvenile women they are allowing to take reign of their message boards. I recently joined and was immediately torn apart because I was a happy bride-to-be. I'm pregnant, and some even told me to get an abortion! I couldn't believe this. I wrote a couple posts about their disgusting behavior and said that they were not compliant with the rules. Of course, they don't care. Out of all the message boards I've EVER been to, TheKnot is the WORST! These women are hiding behind their screen names and terrorizing happy brides. This is supposed to be a safe haven for women, not somewhere we should be scared to look at the posts. It's crazy and I know I'm not the only one. TheKnot has a horrible reputation on the Net. I never knew this until this happened to me. I'm not a mean person, and I'm not sensitive, but I know when there are people who need to be stopped.

I wrote 4 complaints to TheKnot.com. and they told me they would put an end to it, only to keep it going. I'm sick of it and this is disgusting behavior for women on a wedding site.

If YOU or someone you know feels this way, please write me back and I will send you my email and we will sue the site. I know I'm not the only one. I feel employees of TheKnot are also responsible because they have allowed this behavior to continue! Join me in the fight!

  • I know you are not going to post that up and NOT put a link with it.

"Whatever East. You're just mad I RSVP'd "lame" to your pre-wedding sleepover."
  • Oh jeez.

No one I've talked to on TK would ever tell a happy bride to get an abortion - even the nastiest girls I've encountered on here would never do that.

Were there any signatures on this petition?  Lol, I laugh that she actually wanted to take "legal action," that is just rich.

Aww thanks! :) That was this weekend at the Braves game! My hair was blowing all over the place.
  • I remember something like that happening about a year ago - some BSC chick threatening to sue theknot.  10:1 that poster's screen name was "CallingKarma."

  • I do kinda feel for some girls that start posting and get torn apart - but honestly, if they'd stick around and develop a little thicker skin they'd be fine.  Not everyone is going to like you in real life, and the internet isn't any different.

"Does dating matter in custody battle?
History: My ex and I were never married, and have an 8 month old son. I have a PPO against my ex for domestic violence issues. We are currently undergoing a "custody battle." I currently have temporary sole legal and physical custody. My ex and I have been separated for almost 6 months.

I'd like to start dating, but I recently received a packet of questions from my ex (for discovery), and his atty and he are accusing me of dating ALL my male friends, even the gay ones! My ex knows my male friends, but was always jealous of them. I have 2 gay friends, one is a doctor, and my BFF is a man. We've been friends for 15 years. Do I have to hand out my friends info to my ex and his atty? Also, if I wanted to date, is it ok? 10 questions asked if I was dating, only they reworded them 10 different times! My ex is a control freak!

Guess she decided again a wedding.

  • Tide- YES! I coudln't remember the name but that's who I instantly thought of. She came from WW though and I don't think she was pregnant.
  • I stuck around and now (although Im not known) I can post on here without being called a; tawtwaffle, doucheicle, douchpickle, idiot, ect.

The worst I get now is fetus knottie. Although I don't think I was ever ripped to shreds.

  • Tide - you're obviously the ultimate badass.  Nice work!

  • Jelique I've called you fetus before!  Don't worry, I reserve the word "fetus" for special people.  Like rookie Danny Valencia on the Twins this year - I called him Fetus because he was new.  And now he's like, the best.  Obviously he got the positive fetus vibes :)

That was HER!  Totally forgot that she was behind that.
  • For the record, I have never been called a twatwaffle.

And I can't even type that with a straight face.
  • I can't believe someone could advise someone to get an abortion and not get torn apart.  Seriously, I don't care what kind of a weirdo someone is - if someone's telling them to go and get an abortion, I'd swoop in there swinging.  That's just uncalled for.

  • I don't remember Karma being pregnant.  I do remember that when I emailed KA about her I called her a knottie terrorist, because she really had some people concerned they were going to get banned, simply because they pissed her off.

  • Positive fetus vibes? Does that happen when classical music is played into TK belly? Or when bedtime stories are read to the developing fetus?

How would I acquire such vibes?

  • Well from what you've described Tide, this chick sounds like a grade A whack-a-doo.

Trust me jelique, on the positive fetus vibes.  I can't explain them.  They're just good.

The abortion comment that I think people are referring to was made by MrsE, but as I recall it wasn't to this woman (basically the comment was something to the affect of if the poster was HIV positive, she should have aborted her pregnancy, instead of risking passing it on to her child.  Who was 4 years old, and perfectly healthy).  It was out of line, and people did rip her for it, but it was MrsE, so that's a whole other brand of crazy.
