In Response to Re: I judge.. : I don't know about where you live but here they have cut the bus service drastically and so it isn't offered to all of the kids in our town.  They also are charging $5.00 day now for the bus.  I was pretty happy when my kid got her license.

That's insane! I mean, they've also drastically cut the buses here too (and now added some back because there were massive amounts of issues once all the schools started back in last wekk), but $5. . really? I rode the bus in highschool 45mins, each way. No way would my parents have paid for me to ride the bus, nor would I. Even the colleges over here have free bus service, around campus. . . end rant.

I judge 5:30 traffic. I rarely drive in it, but it just took me 1.5 hrs to get home from a place that is 30 mins away, tops. Holy F, I wanted to punch someone. Also, people around here apparently cant drive in traffic. . Major kudos to those of you who have to go through that every day!

I judge my new SIL wearing sweatpants and a lacey (read skanky) top to my wedding. She must have been wearing three bras as her boobs were up to her chin. I glanced over at her during the ceremony and she was staring at her chest and pulling her shirt down to show more cleavage.

ETA: That felt good to get off my chest.

Sure they are, but when that's all they talk about it gets old fast.

I judge bronies. You can't convince me that it's not creepy that adult men are watching my little ponies, especially since someone pointed out to me that my little ponie porn exist. GROSS

I also judge people who don't put their shopping carts away. It takes like 10 seconds. Shopping carts are a courtesy. I got a gigantic scratch on my brand new car one month after I bought it because of someone's runnaway cart.

I judge people who bring infants to pubs/bars. Take your kid to friendly's. When I go out for nice beers and I'm paying a premium I don't want to listen to your kid bawling the whole time. Also nice of you to not take the baby out. You ignoring them was really helpful to everyone else at the pub trying to have a good time. Rant over.

<div>We don't not get along. For the most part, she is only concerned with herself though. I attempt to form a relationship with her, but the conversation ultimately ends up about her and her issues. I suspect she has a personality disorder. Unfortunantly, she is not ready to seek treatment for it.</div>
I judge people who use leashes on their kids. A lady was walking her dog by my parents house this past weekend with a dog on a leash in one hand and her kid on a leash in the other. Does she not see the resemblance?

I judge people who don't put leashes on their kids.  Some of them need it.
You know, DJ, I'm not sure the documentation required for 'hardship'.  She could always use the threat of foreclosure, since she's about a paycheck away from losing her house.  Which is another reason I judge the hell out of wasting more then $5k on a vacation (in her case).  And the rationalization pisses me off - 'but I promised the kids!'.  Well, sounds like a life lesson for the little darlings - WE CAN"T AFFORD AN EXPENSIVE VACATION.
    Posted by LesPaul
Can I be weirs and jump in on this one many days later? This is perfectly crazy. She would be much, much better off putting the blinking trip on a credit card if she insisted on doing it. The interest is much lower than the penalties on the withdrawl even if she took two years to pay it off. Though cash or credit I have to wonder who needs a 5K vacation with a young kid? I mean, that just seems insanely expensive however she got the money.
  • I judge people who excuse and stand up for blatantly bad parents to the point where they sound like they're sympathizing with child abusers. Some news article comes out about a mom or dad beating the living hell out of their kid, or telling the kid things like, "You're my biggest disappointment," or "I wish you'd never been born," and, no kidding, the response I've heard more than once is, "Well, it's tough being a parent, you know. Kids don't come with instruction books and adults aren't perfect. We all get stressed out and make mistakes."

    REALLY???? Come on now.

There's a diference between making a mistake, and making a cruel and horrible choice. There are moments when every parent slips up and says or does something they feel guilty about... and there are things that are NO BRAINERS, and deserve NO PITY. I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure that no matter how stressed you are or how hard it is to raise a kid, it's never okay to wallop Junior within an inch of his life, or molest Junior, or starve or torture Junior, or tell Junior that you hate his guts.

So to end my rant, I guess you could say that I judge people who don't judge harshly enough.
