Snarky Brides

I judge..

We haven't done one of these in awhile so here it goes..

I judge people who refer to the bathroom (while talking to another adult) as the "little boys room". I don't know why but it just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe thats unpop but either way thats my judge.

  • I judge the hell out of a friend who decided it would be a great idea to take a hardship withdrawal from her 401k to finance a trip to DisneyWorld.  NO!  Throwing away your retirement because you promised little Mary a trip to Disney that you can't afford?  STUPID.

  • I judge my friend who is opening a tanning salon. First, it doesn't seem like a smart decision when the last two haven't lasted very long. Secondly, I don't condone tanning in the first place and think of all the businesses you could start, that is pretty lame.
  • You know, DJ, I'm not sure the documentation required for 'hardship'.  She could always use the threat of foreclosure, since she's about a paycheck away from losing her house.

Which is another reason I judge the hell out of wasting more then $5k on a vacation (in her case).  And the rationalization pisses me off - 'but I promised the kids!'.  Well, sounds like a life lesson for the little darlings - WE CAN"T AFFORD AN EXPENSIVE VACATION.

Yes, and the tanning salon market seems pretty saturated to me.  At least it is here - there are probably a dozen salons within a 2 mile radius.

I judge people who use leashes on their kids. A lady was walking her dog by my parents house this past weekend with a dog on a leash in one hand and her kid on a leash in the other.

Does she not see the resemblance?

Amen. As kids, my dad (single parent) would say that we could go on vacations every summer, and more times than not, we didn't go anywhere. It's part of life for crying out loud. She's basically teaching the kids (well, if they knew what she was doing), that it's okay to go on lavish vacations, even when you can't afford your basic bills.

I judge my mom for bitching me out via text because I asked if my grandmother would be at their house for Thanksgiving. Apparently she can't plan 4 months in advance and thinks that DH and I (who will have to drive 3+ hours) are crazy for planning that far out.

I get your frustration, I really do, especially since when I parked on campus, it seemed like no one could park a freaking car anywhere. However, purposely damaging someone else's property, simply because you're inconvenienced is bull$hit and just wrong (IMO). I would never do this. I would however leave them a note on their windshield requesting they go back to driving school and re-learn how to park their car.

Therefore, I judge you. WTF is wrong with you?
