Please tell me about your hair

I'm getting my hair cut on Saturday and I have NO clue how I want it. Right now my hair is boob length and straight-ish, with layers. My bangs were straight across but they grew into side bangs. 

If you are able, show me pictures of your hair! I am tempted to chop it all off and get a cute bob, but I've been working on growing my hair for a while.

Blunt bangs w/face framing layers. My stylist called the color "chocolate covered eggplant" and I LOVE it.
More recent pic of when I tried to color it myself (gotta love the hot pink VS bath robe huh?). It came out way redder than I intended. I think I'll stick to going to the salon:

I really like your blunt bangs Mehg. I always want to try them but  I don't think I have the face for them and will totally regret them later. I have done some bold stuff to my hair but blunt bangs scare me.

I was nervous about getting them too (back in 2008) but I had sideswept bangs for so long that I just got sick of them. Plus, I was breaking out on my forehead from constantly pushing them aside. I could literally show you the progression of my hair through pictures from circa 2002 until now.

My hair is just a massive wavy mop that gets stuck in my ass crack in the shower, and I never style it.  So I'm no help.

But all you other ladies have such lovely hairs

Musu- I just added a curl cream blow dried with a diffuser upside down and then curled(around the barrel) whatever strand didn't want to corporate.

I hear those wand curlers works great but I haven't tried them. I wear my hair almost every day like the first picture.

I really liked my straight across bangs, but they grew out so fast. If I knew how to trim them myself I would totally get them again. I'm looking for super low maintenance though, and bangs are kind of high maintenance.

Erin, if you could watch me cutting my bangs, you'd laugh your ass off. I have a comb and scissors, and it takes me a bout 47 seconds to figure out how to hold them in the least PITA way. I line up where I want to cut, then have to close my eyes as I snip millimeter by millimeter, paying attention so that I don't cut off my eyelashes/eyebrows. Then hair clippings get in my eyes/contacts, I cuss like a sailor "Motherfucker!! Agh!! Sonofabitch!" and rub my contacts till the hair moves away enough for me to fish it out. I've been doing this for almost 4 years and I still haven't gotten the hang of it.

Every time I have to cut my own bangs, I ask myself why I don't just have someone else do it, but the last time I did, the chick royally screwed them up. And I paid $14 for it ($10 plus tip).

Oh, get this, I even had the Rachel haircut. Not once, but twice (1997 and again in 2005).


Apparently, I'm also an awkward poser, Sesh. (I was really drunk in that pic.)

Sesh you are a skinny minnie! My hair looks a lot like that when I grow it out. The picture below shows my hair when it's super long, but the picture is mostly of my adorable niece in 2009.

I have no pictures on my computer. I'll have to go back to my old desk to show all my hair I had. I even had long ass extensions in.

My hair is bra strap length and stick straight (don't even have to try to straighten it).  I wear it up in a ponytail most days.  I'm keeping it long so it is easier to throw in a bun when I go into basic training.  

This picture is from three years ago and my hair is about the same length now and all one color (very similar in color to Sesh's).  This picture is when I had about five different colors in my hair (various shades of brown, red, and some blonde highlights).

Thanks, Sesh. I need to re-dye it. It's starting to be ombre again. (I liked calling it ombre instead of "lazy")

On my wedding day, I have a pic of me turned toward a mirror and it's SO two-toned, it cracks me up. I was rocking ombre hair before it became cool.

I don't have a picture and I didn't do my hair today and nobody wants to see that but I have short hair, kind of like Ginnifer Goodwin's is. Sort of a pixie with longish bangs.
