I like that its really smart and you have to know whats going on in the world to get it.  But like I said, its left leaning and its starting to lean more and more, but as of now, I still like it.

I thought some of the points they were making about what the Tea Party has turned into in some places was spot on.  But I dont like that they painted the whole movement into that category, but whatever.

That's interesting. As far as I know, Aaron Sorkin is almost exclusively a liberal-leaning writer, so I can see why he'd need some help. Honestly, I was surprised he even has a main character who's Republican.

<div>Thanks for clarifying- I've been lurking and was definitely in the dark about that one.  I personally think that stuff like this can be good for the board because it clears out the cobwebs a bit.  Also it allows more lurkers to actually post becuase they don't feel quite as intimidated by the regs.</div>

  • Being new, i haven't quite decided which i like more, but after posting on both sites i feel more comfortable here.  Not to sound like a whiney kid, but i've posted several times on the proboard and feel like i'm stuck back in a huge college class where there are hundreds of people all asking questions and talking at once and that makes me feel kind of invisible.

On the otherhand, i posted here last night and felt like i belonged because people actually chatted with me and i felt like i got myself out there more. i'm sure that's only because few people are over here right now, but i just feel now after a few days of posting that i'll fit in better over here and i hope you guys will accept me.

It's easy to get lost in chatty threads on both TK and the PBs.    The more you post, the more you're noticed.  Or if you say something epically stupid.   That'll get you noticed right away.  I'd go with the former and just post more frequently.

  • I don't really have issues against anyone else right now, but I do have issues with myself.
My parents called and invited us to the beach for a couple days. DH has vacation time and it'd be free for us to stay (aside from gas and food). I haven't 'vacationed' this summer, but go freaking figure I'm sick as heck today, either a bad cold or allergies. D@mn myself.

I've posted on the PB a little, but agree, the format isn't appealing to me and I'm too lazy to read through a 800+ thread.

Blue, I hope you feel better!

well like i said, i know i just started posting, but i feel more comfortable around less people both IRL and on the web so i'll post a little bit both places  but i plan on sticking around here as long as others do. i promise i'll try to not say anything stupid, but if i do, i'll accept it and move on.

  • Sorry you're not feeling good Psych. I was sick all weekend and am still trying to recoup.

I'd love to go to the beach. We haven't done anything "vacationy" this summer. Our annual trip to PA with all our friends to stay one of said friends family's private lake cottage got cancelled this year and we didn't have anything else to look forward to. Bummer.

  • Aw that sucks Cnf! Maybe you'll get to go on another trip soon? DH got to go up north to visit family earlier this summer, but I stayed back. Im really hoping I get better because I'd really like to go visit family and the beach.

I have no idea where this crap came from, but I wish it'd hurry up and go the heck away. :)

Judging by the ticker in her sig, I'm gonna guess 1 year, 3 weeks, and 5 days old. Just a guess though.
