[QUOTE]In Response to Re: I really need yall on this one please... MOH dilemma??? : I think dilema is better than dilemna.  Why the "n"?  Is it supposed to be a random silent "n"? At least dilema is phonetic.

</div><div>oh yeah, from a phonetic stand point for sure. I just meant that at least dilemna was an official spelling of the word at some point so I could get why someone would use it as opposed to dilemma.

  • J&K, I don't think we've talked about it!  We moved to AZ when I was pretty young, but I was born in Madison.  My dad grew up in Tomah and my mom is from Joliet, IL so I've been back maybe a dozen times to visit family.

  • English is not very phonetic at all in its spelling, so I tend to give people a lot of leeway on it. After much higher education, there are several things I have to think about how to spell and I am truly grateful for Word and other spell checkers.

Just a general observation on the MOH role: honestly, it is only a Great Big Deal in the wedding mags. My MOH was a nightmare, and it all went off as planned anyway. The only think really in my head when it came right down to it was saying those vows and getting to our reception. It would be wonderful if the person standing closest to you while you do it was your BFF, but honestly we could have done it just fine with no attendants at all.

We get caught up in all this crap about a wedding, and really it is just about this commitment you and your FI are making to each other, the rest is window dressing. I am not saying go forth and be a selfish bitch and treat people badly, on the contrary I think if you really focus on what the whole thing is actually about you stop fretting and fighting with people because you realize your mom's flower obsessions or your freaky MOH or BM's don't mean much in the end.

Well, why didn't you show up earlier and say that?
