I read like 30 pages of Blaze, and I quit. it's rare I quit a SK book, but it was awful. I also quit The Dark Half and the one that's something like, the eye of the dragon?

It's hard for me to read The Shining because I think the movie version is done so well.  It's one of the few movies based on a book that I actually love.

Gerald's Game was good, not one of my favorites.  I loved Needful Things and the one where the writer has an alter ego that comes to get him.  It was the same story as "Secret Window".  I hate myself for sucking at titles .

ETA: just read Lala 's post and it was The Dark Half.  That shiit really creeped me out, maybe because I write.

I cant FIND the dark half and I always forget to order it online when I have money.

I really like the book version of the shining, a lot more than the movie. I like the different supernatural elements that occur in the book that dont in the movie (lawn creatures, etc).

I have been trying for months to read the talisman and I just cant get into it, I dont like it for some reason. Im about 1/3rd of the way through and cant be bothered to finish it. I own the 2nd one to it and eye of the dragon but ive always just really dragged my heels about reading them, I dont know why.

I also dont like the running man, I think its called, I got about 10 pages in and didnt like it.

The Shining is a great book. and the kubrick version of the movie is so different than what was in the novel. apparently SK was not pleased. but the tv movie The Shining was very close to the book, except for the super ghey ending where the kid graduates and it shows the dad smiling from heaven. ffs.

I've been trying for a long time to read the talisman also, but I can't get it up for that one. maybe because I read more straub in it than King, and I don't like that.

I think thats my problem lala, I dont read it as a stephen king book and its just not pulling me in like they tend to.

I only saw the tv shining once, when it first came out, and I know it scared the crap out of me. I havnt been able to find it again

the dude who plays dexter works out at the same gym as my BIL in cali.  (BIL is a script writer.) one time, he was in line in front of them at a movie theater. strangely, i just mentioned that to my sister today and asked her if she had seen him around lately. sadly, she hasn't.

did you know that IRL he is married to the chick who plays his sister on the show?

NO :( Im pretty sure she was in a preview before a movie, and I can never remember previews. uuugh.
